Peter Stokkebye - PS3 Cherry
Very Good Cherry Blend
Ever since McClelland closed its doors I have been looking for a good bulk replacement for Three Cherry. This blend is not too far off. The cherry flavor is not overpowering and the bite was very mild, I tend to smoke my pipes hotter than I should though. Pending further searching, this blend could very well find a permanent place in my rotation.

Cornell & Diehl - Carolina Red Flake 2oz
A New Classic
After McClelland closed down I was worried that we wouldn't be able to purchase quality Virginia tobaccos. I was wrong. Jeremy Reeves at Cornell&Diehl proved that he has the chops to be one of the best blenders in the USA. I find the red Virginias to be sweet and satisfying. More of the dark fruity characteristics than the hay that you can find in other Virginia blends. This is something that I look forward to every year.

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East 2oz
Lovely Latakia
This blend is hands down one of the best that I’ve ever smoked. It’s definitely a Lat bomb, but velvety smooth at the same time.

Prince Albert - Prince Albert 1.5oz
Terrible
As good as this blend may have been once upon a time, that is sadly no longer the case. Smoking this tobacco left a very distinct ammonia-like aroma in my mustache.

Acid - Blondie Candela
Not Impressed
I liked the sweet cap and the flavor for the infusion, but I don't think the wrapper is really for me.

Newminster - No.403 Superior Round Slices
Intriguing
I don't know if my tongue is just tired from the increased level of smoking over the past coup of days or what, but this tobacco did not seem to have a lot of flavor at first. This did not prove to be a hindrance though as I finished the whole bowl. The flavor really started to mature for me around the bottom half of the bowl and I starting picking up a cloying sweetness with just a kiss of spice to it. I thoroughly enjoyed this one. It was kind of like Doritos, you're not sure what the flavor actually is, but you know you like it and you want more of it.

Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
Yum
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with the Three Nuns. Very smooth with just a bit of a kick to it.

Peter Stokkebye - PS403 Luxury Bullseye Flake
One of the Faves
These little flakes are some of the best stuff out there.

Peter Stokkebye - PS400 Luxury Navy Flake
Real Good
It's really good. You cannot go wrong with this.

McClelland - 40th Anniversary 100g
Simply Fantastic
An excellent Virginia blend from the best blender of Virginia tobacco.

G. L. Pease - Stonehenge Flake 2oz
Delicious
I'm not sure where people are getting the Lakeland essence, flavor, or aroma from. It's a very mild VaPer with delicate nuances that I find to be delightful.

Half and Half - Half and Half 1.5oz
Disappointed
This is the third classic drug store blend that I've tried. I am not impressed with it. It was sweet but had an aroma very similar to cigarettes.

Esoterica - Pembroke 2oz
Very Good
I'm thoroughly enjoying this blend. The flavor is smooth and the cognac only adds to it. I love the shag cut that Germain and Son get on the tobacco, it's one of my favorite things about their tobaccos. One of my friends tried it and then attempted to smoke a bowl of English Luxury, he said it made him sad and he's had to reset his palate.

Peterson - Sherlock Holmes 50g
Not Bad
This was my first real venture outside of bulk blends at my tobacconist. I don't remember it standing out in any way, but it was a good introduction to something that didn't come out of a jar.

Peterson - Sweet Killarney 50g
Not a Bad Aromatic
An enjoyable aromatic that really didn't stand out that much.

Peterson - Irish Whiskey 50g
Meh
This blend was just kind of meh. It lit well and burned well. The room note wasn't that great, and it didn't really taste like much of anything.

Peterson - Connemara Black 40g
Couldn't Like It
I really wanted to like this one. I'm a fan of Peterson and a fan of cherry blends, but this one just didn't deliver for me.

Peter Stokkebye - PS403 Luxury Bullseye Flake
Pretty Good
This flake smokes very well and the bit of sweet cavendish in the middle is lovely.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Really Good
This tobacco is excellent. A grassy Virginia with just a hint of Perique to smooth it out.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Ennerdale Flake
Definitely Not American
The floral topping on this tobacco is definitely not designed for the American palate. I find it reminds me of Plum Cake from Germain. Even when rubbed out it burns evenly and smoothly and doesn't bite.

Peterson - University Flake 50g
One of the Favorites
This is one of the few Peterson blends that I really like. The plum topping is good. It packs just enough punch to get you where you're going.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Toe-Wiggling Good
Literally makes my toes wiggle when I smoke it.

Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader 50g
Gold Standard
This is my gold standard for English blends.

Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader Special Edition with Perique 50g
My First Love
This was the first blend that I fell in love with. I think I've accumulated four tins of this stuff. I hope they bring it back.

Cornell & Diehl - Bourbon Bleu 2oz
Pretty Good
This is an excellent tobacco. C&D know how to do a crumble cake.

McClelland - M27 - Three Cherry Blend
Best Cherry
Hands down the best cherry blend to ever grace the bowl of a pipe.

Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
So Good
This stuff is so good. It's just a little pricey. It has that wonderful hay barn aroma and makes you feel good.

Cornell & Diehl - Yorktown
A Good Virginia
This isn't my favorite blend, but I can't really say anything bad about it.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - Blitz Pipe Cleaners (80 pack)
Killer Cleaners
These pipe cleaners definitely get the job done.

Filters & Adaptors - Savinelli 6mm Balsa Filters (20 Count)
Wonderful Product
At first I was skeptical about trying filters because I thought they were girly. I was wrong. I love these things. My Savinelli that I started using them in has become a favorite and I have learned to really appreciate them in my cobs. I don't think they affect the smoke in flavor at all.

Cornell & Diehl - Briar Fox 2oz
Hot Dang
This tobacco is simply amazing. It was love from first puff.

BriarWorks - Peach Cobbler 2oz
Meh
I'm starting to see a pattern in C&D aromatics. They use really good tobacco and they smell great, they just don't taste remotely like they smell. I like a little bit more flavor in my aromatic blends. Their Autumn Evening is more in that vein.

G. L. Pease - The Virginia Cream 2oz
Pretty Good
It's a fine blend and I can see why a lot of people like it. It just isn't that high up there for me.

Samuel Gawith - Lakeland Dark 50g
Strong
I couldn't handle it. It was tough getting it to light. I couldn't even finish a whole bowl. My head spun like a top when I stood up.

Samuel Gawith - Cabbie's Mixture 50g
Love It
This is an excellent VaPer. Lights well, burns great, tastes amazing.
