Solani - Silver Label - 660 100g
My Top 10
Another Solani winner. This one has a richer flavor than most and can be smoked right out of the tin.
Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 50g
The 50g tin is a good choice
This tobacco smokes very well out of the tin, and improves greatly with age; one of my top 10. The 100 gram tin needs to be jarred and ages differently than the 50g sealed tin ... I go for both!

Excellent Now, Better with Age
This Virginia is excellent right out of the tin, and improves even more with just a bit of age. One of my top 10
Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Like Smoking a Cherry Cough Drop
Sorry, but I just couldn't get behind this one. Many people enjoy this, but I found it so sweet and goopy that I couldn't even taste the tobacco.
Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation - Blend of the Year No.1 1.75oz
Worth the price
This tobacco came in a really nice looking, well-fit, high-quality reusable 50g wood humidor, with a Boveda humidity pack to keep the tobacco flakes at the proper 49% humidity. The tobacco was excellent, better than I expected. It is a tasty flake with just a hint of Oriental to give this VABUR an intriguing note, not a heavier Balkan hit. I would happily order the tobacco again and the humidor is a really nice-looking addition to the desk my study.
Mac Baren - HH Pure Virginia 1.75oz
Superb Virginia
Since Dunhill ruined thier flake by poor packaging when switching to the round tin, this has become one of my two favorite tobaccos (the other is McC 40th Anniversary). I would add that I enjoy it most after I crack a 6 month old tin and let it air for a couple of weeks; it changes dramatically after it is open. Highly recommended.
A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Top notch
One of the best VaPers I've smoked. Like the excellent Deluxe Navy Rolls, but a bit sweeter and more fragrant.
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 100g
Unique and tasty
I really don't care much for aromatics, but the whiskey barrel cube gave this blend a unique and balanced fragrance and taste. I bought more.
Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 50g
Great Virginia with very mild Perique
I'm a VA lover and this is one of the very best; even better than Dunhill flake after they adopted the round tins, Somehow I have a hard time tasting the Perique here or in Orlik, so I guess it is very mild or very well blended into the VAs. Will probably replace the Dunhill in my rotation.
Orlik - Golden Sliced 100g
Great once you understand how to smoke it
This is a great tobacco, but it is very sensitive to how you pack the pipe. It needs a bit of trial to get it right, but it is really flavorful and easy smoking with no bite once you get the packing and cadence down right. The 100g tin has a really long spiral flake and one needs to tear off enough to either rub out just a bit or stuff directly into the bowl with only a short drying time ...
Dunhill - Flake 50g
Was my favorite until recently
This used to be a five-star tobacco. This was long my favorite tobacco. Unfortunately the once-elegant flakes in the square tin were just smashed together in the new round tin to make the fit. One can had OK semi-flaked tobacco that tasted OK, another had wet tobacco all squeezed into a lump at one end and did not task very good. I really hope they get the new packaging right eventually.
