Dan Tobacco - Hamborger Veermaster 50g
Ok but slightly flawed
The casing is more heavy handed than I prefer. I don't hate it but I'm not sure I'll buy it again. It was fairly damp and was difficult to keep lit out of the bag. After 2 hours of drying time it was more smokable. The Virginia flavor does come through the casing but doesn't really shine as much as I'd like. If they reduced the casing I'd buy it regularly. Not that they asked me. This is a good one for aro smokers to test the water in Virginias.

Presbyterian - Reformation 50g
Missed it by that much
I received this in the mail this morning. Presbyterian is my top favorite and I was really interested in trying this version. This tastes like any number of drug store aromatics I've tried over the years. The topping overshadows the entire blend. I can't taste the tobacco hardly at all. The topping leaves a little bit of a chemical aftertaste. What a disappointment. I have my my doubts about aging improving this blend but I'll try it anyway. This isn't worthy of the Presbyterian name as far as I'm concerned. So many different ways this could've been better. Sutliff missed the mark.

Arturo Fuente - Chateau Fuente SG
My first cigar
I was gifted a few of these in my Christmas stocking. I hadn't thought about trying a cigar. I actually had to research how to cut, light, and smoke a stogie. I was surprised by the experience. There were notes of cedar, coffee and black pepper. Half way through I got a little snipet if sweet dancing in the background. I may have to keep a box of these in the house.

Mac Baren - HH Latakia Flake 1.75oz
Wow
I thought I knew what to expect being an English/Balkan smoker. I didn't. This somehow manages to be both darker and sweeter than any other blend I smoke. It's freaking great stuff.

Stands & Pouches - Tobacco Pouch Humidifier
Works
So easy to use it's ridiculous. Works as described. An inexpensive solution.

Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - Obsidian Pipe Stem Oil 18ml
Must have
This a must have for vulcanite stems. I also use it in my horn stems with great results.

Mac Baren - Dark Twist 3.5oz
Wonderful
As I've said in another review, I love DFK. Not all DFKs are created equal however. This one is more mellow than the HH Old Dark Fired and a little sweeter. The casing is not overpowering or intrusive, it simply adds a little sweet to the mix. It is full bodied yet not "knock your socks off" strong. It's well worth the price. I will be buying it by the pound from now on.

F & K - Merde de Cheval 1.5oz
Please sir, may I have some more?
Mostly sweet, a touch of sour and the peppery spice takes a back seat.

Missouri Meerschaum - American Patriot 1.5oz
I was wrong
My original review basically said, "meh". I was wrong. I kept picking this pouch up 3 or 4 times a week. Now that I started my third pouch I've come to the conclusion that I like this more than I originally thought. The Latakia is very forward and I do taste a just hint of the bourbon topping when sipping very slow. This has come to be in my top 10 favorite list.

G. L. Pease - Montgomery 2oz
Perfect
I haven't met a DFK/Virginia blend I didn't like. This one is at the top of that list for me. Smoked the entire 2oz can in less than 3 weeks. Now I need to try the rest of the Fog City Selection.

Sutliff - Balkan Sobranie Original Mix Match
What's in a name
A Balkan by any other name will taste just as sweet. I've no idea if this is a match for the old Balkan Sobraine and frankly I don't care. This is a really good blend worth keeping on my shelf. I gotta say, I'm impressed with the quality of Smoking Pipes bulk offerings. I've never received a dry/stale bag from them. Good job guys.

Missouri Meerschaum - The Emerald
Great cob
So far this is my favorite purchase from Missouri Meerschaum. The size of the bowl, the angle of the bend are exactly what I'd make if I were to design a pipe. The stem is comfortable to clench and looks great. I always get positive comments on it when I'm smoking at the park. I will be buying a couple more to stash away in case this one gets damaged or worn out.

Newminster - No.403 Superior Round Slices
Not 3 nuns
Nope. It's not 3 nuns. It's just as good and possibly a tad better. This is another one I'll be buying a pound at a time so I have some to smoke now and some to cellar.

Newminster - No.400 Superior Navy Flake
Very very good
A simple clean, sweet Virginia. Just what I was looking for. At this price point I'll be reordering a couple of pounds so I have some to smoke now and some to age a year or two.

Kramer's - Father Dempsey
Not bad
A decent introduction to English blends. I enjoyed this and the back story is cool. There are better English blends out there for the experienced palate.

Balkan Sasieni - Balkan Sasieni 50g
Wonderful
Wonderful Latakia forward blend. Burns slow, consistent, minimal relights. Tastes smokey, spicy, slightly sweet. Unlike other blends this one doesn't really change taste as I progress through a bowl which is something I enjoy about it. I've been using a medium size Rhodesian but I'm thinking I'll want to purchase an XL90 or 616KS to use with this blend.

Cornell & Diehl - Gentleman Caller 2oz
Interesting
I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. It's interesting. The only way I can describe the scent is walking into my grandparents house which had a faint scent of cedar and mothballs from the closets. It's not an unpleasant smell just a old fashioned one. This will ghost a pipe beyond all recovery so if you're not sure if you'll like it use a cheap basket pipe or a clay pipe the first go. I will buy again once a year.

Drucquer & Sons - First Amendment 100g
Enjoyable
This is enjoyable if smoked slow. The spice can get out of hand if smoked too hot and fast. I found that giving it a little more of a rub out will also tone the spice down and bring out the sweet a bit more.

Holger Danske - Black and Bourbon 50g
Good with drying time
I enjoy an occasional aro, especially a good bourbon aro. This was way to wet to smoke well at first opening of the tin. I tried letting a bowls worth dry for a bit, still to wet. After letting the tin sit 3 months it's now perfect to smoke with hardly a relight needed. The creaminess of the vanilla balances the bourbon bite very well. Not my absolute favorite aro but will by a tin or two a year.

Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
Personal tastes change over time
40 years ago my uncle offered me some of this. I didn't like it back then. I smoked too fast and was used to the flavorings of aromatics at the time. Today this is my preferred blend. The natural sweetness of the VA and the bit of spice from the Lat is well balanced. Usually I use a pipe for a type of tobacco rather than a particular blend. I enjoy this one well enough that I have 3 pipes dedicated to smoking only Presbyterian.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Delite 50g
Takes me back
This one takes me back 40ish years to summers on my uncle's front porch as I learned to smoke a pipe. The taste and scent of this is what I started with back then. It's full of memories.
