G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Desert Island Pick
Terrific Balkan/English. Tin note is hardwood char, amber resin, and incense. Well-behaved, with a rich mouth feel and no bite. Spice, smoked nuts, and baked dates--it's all here. Equal parts temple, Danish tavern, and patisserie. Surprising and satisfying peppery plum chutney finish. Room note is dead-center between a sailor's sweet comfort and a London parlor. This is a good tobacco. Are you smoking only aromatics, but have been curious about Balkans and Englishes? This blend is a lovely introduction. New to pipe smoking? Quite Nights is a good way to find out why people want to smoke pipes in the first place.
