Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
OTC aromatic
Unfortunately , this is a goopy mess with a lot of artificial tasting casings. You may like this blend if you are looking for a budget aromatic. Tin note and room note however both smell excellent

Sillem's - Black 100g
Excellent Blend
Very excellent blend that mixes English and subtle aromatic qualities with a high degree of craftsmanship. Excellent room note as well. Van Hellsing would be pleased

Sir Walter Raleigh - Regular 1.5oz
You, sir are a gentleman and a scholar!
Fantastic otc blend. In my opinion , the best. Easy to smoke, easy to light and kept lit , with an excellent Spicey flavor that is reminiscent of baking spices. A wonderful OTC blend considering the value and pricing.

Half and Half - Half and Half 7oz
Half good , half bad
A legendary otc. Not my favorite . It bites very easily and the smoke can be somewhat harsh. However, all should try this legendary drug store blend

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Cross eyed Cricket made me cross eyed
Very very disappointing. Would never buy again. This blend has a very bizarre and off putting casing added which completely removes any pleasant experience from this smoke. One of the worst tobaccos I’ve tried. Disappointing

Cornell & Diehl - Bow-Legged Bear 2oz
Dissatisfied
I hate to say it but this blend is rank! Unpleasant tin note, rank room note, and a very disappointing taste. Maybe this blend needs to cellar more. Smoked it with 2 years of age. I may never buy again , but only to age and try again to redeem the last experience.

Carter Hall - Carter Hall 14oz
Carter Hall…A drug store Classic
This blend is a bit more difficult for me to score because of its long and lasting history and impact on pipe blends. I don’t want to discredit this codger blend , but for me it falls flat. Muted taste which is almost non existent. I couldn’t tell if I was smoking hot air or a coveted tobacco blend from a bigone age. Unfortunately, it may also be because my palate is used to the dunhill and c&d blends now. This just misses the boat, but I encourage all to try this legendary blend. You may enjoy it more than I did.

Cornell & Diehl - Black Duck 2oz
Black Duck- Thumbs Up
A very nice very smooth smoking tobacco. For my personal palate , I pick up strong mint and chocolate notes mixed with a smokey campfire. There is a certain clean mint like quality that develops which is really quite nice and unique. This is not my favorite blend, however it is so smooth and easy to smoke that it cannot be overlooked. A quality blend
