Cornell & Diehl - The Beast 2oz
On the fence?!?!
I’m still debating on whether to order a tin or two. I have the 2021 release of this blend, and it is intact a BEAST! Even after sitting in a jar for just about 2 years it is potent stuff. I wouldn’t call it overpowering though. Still an array of flavors happening beneath the darkness. It’s very rummy and peppery. Very peppery on the palate and retro hale. I pick up cigar-like flavors and aromas too. Slightly smokey and tangy- sweetness the DFK, BC, and VA all contribute a hand in a supporting role. Although mostly muted from the abundance of Perique, it’s present enough to make this an enjoyable smoke. Not an everyday blend for sure lol…

Cornell & Diehl - Folklore 16oz
no wow factor on this blend
It pains me to write a negative review, and I hope in time, my opinion changes. Its not terrible, nor bad. I just do not find myself enjoying this one to much. when I smoke eight state, or from beyond, anthology, and so many more from C&D I will find myself saying "damn thats good" while smoking my pipe, and I will say it several times during my session because I enjoy so many C&D blends, and get wonderful complex flavors from them. Its sometimes almost magical how much I enjoy smoking tobacco... but Folklore just is not doing it for me. Hopefully it will age really well, since I have about 14 ounces jarred up. :) if my opinion changes in time, I will update this review.

Sutliff - Eccentric 50g
Sutliff is 4-4 on this BOAF series!
Uno, Whimsical, Aberrant, and now Eccentric! So far I have very much enjoyed each one. The virginias are sweet, the Katerini is peppery, and the burley is nutty! The Latakia is perfection. Smokey, yet floral and fragrant. Downright delicious! Up until now I’ve only purchased 2x of each release. I’m regretting that choice. Cannot wait for the last 2 releases!

Sutliff - Cringle Flake 2022 1.5oz
Faaaaantastic!
I’m very happy that I decided to pick this up, and right before the 2022 sold out! The 21 year old red VA is rich, sweet, and delicious! Perfect peppery spice from the perique adds a nice layer in between all of the goodness from the virginias. Not Christmassy as it is not topped or cased. Smoke it with a Christmas spirit, or coffee. It’s an excellent blend of top shelf tobaccos. Burns and breaks up and packs nicely as with all other sutliff crumble cakes/flakes.

Cornell & Diehl - Jolly Old Saint Nicholas 2oz
Merry Christmas to all!
I cracked my tin This morning, Christmas morning. I must say, this aromatic blend is hitting the spot, and putting me i. A jolly, festive mood. I usually do not reach for an aromatic, but do have a few and this one is worthy. Great tobacco flavor from the Virginias, and a slight perique kick. Orange liquor and a faint ginger/spice flavor in the background perfectly topped. Not goopy, or gross (like molto dolce-yuck!). 15 min drying time and it burned excellent! As good as an aro can get, that’s my opinion!

Low Country - Cooper 2oz
Fantastic English!
or maybe Balkan? I do find this blend oriental forward, but not "heavy" where it takes over the bowl. the VA's are ripe, and sweet, and the latakia has those smokey/floral undertones that we have all come to know and love. This is a hell of a delicious blend! I only had 1 session with Cooper before I Jarred it up. About 10 months later, and it is a very enjoyable blend. Few more bowls, and ill tuck it away for a year and re-visit! Low Country blends are all very good!

G. L. Pease - Odyssey 2oz
Fantastic!
Incredible, full bodied in flavor, and meduim-full in strength. It is very well done. It is very smokey and tangy on the tin note. You think it would be latakia forward, and it basically is, but with that said the orientals and VA's hold there own, and are right there with the smokey-goodness to deliver sweet, sour, bready tones, all right up front. You might think the flavor profile is a bit "busy" and too much going on, but it really isnt. That is the magic behind this blend. Very very well balanced. No one leaf or note takes over.... just an explosion of consistent, rich, and satisfying flavor. It ages very well too. So good!

Missouri Meerschaum - Cornell & Diehl Charles Towne Cobbler
Love it!
I did take off 1 star because the shank had wood shavings inside shank, and at the end of it inside the bowl that weren’t completely filed or removed so when I took a test pull, it was really plugged up. It was a quick and easy fix though so we’re good :). Also, I had to widen the opening on the stem mouthpiece. I couldn’t get a pipe cleaner into the draft hole on the stem. I had to use a sharp knife to cut out a little plastic so mouthpiece was wide enough to get a pipe cleaner into the draft hole. It wouldn’t hurt MM to tighten up on QA. Minor or not, still shouldn’t be happening. The pipe looks and feels great. Just had my first bowl from it. Low Countries Atalaya which I very much enjoyed! the pipe smoked great, and for as fast as I smoked, it didn’t get too hot surprisingly. Very happy with it. I like how it has a thicker rim than my MM bent emerald. She’s a looker and a performer!

Low Country - Atalaya 2oz
Solid, no nonsense VA/per
This is a very good blend. I would definitely say this is closer to full bodied. It’s a robust, but not over the top blend. The perique is nice and peppery, the orientals throw in a little tongue tingle, but I do struggle to detect any real flavor from it? The VA’s are quality though. They smell bready, and hay/grassy aromas but I found it to be naturally sweet, and rich. French and retro hale I can pick up raisin-y notes. It is fair to say that I really enjoy this blend. It’s not my favorite, but it is a solid blend that I will enjoy thoroughly. 4/18/23 - update -not even a year old, and this stuff is aging wonderfully. I had my jar sealed since my initial bowl, and either forgot how damn good this really is, or it is progressing nicely in the age department.... So damn good! id take a pound of this over Folklore ANY day

Peter Stokkebye - PS41 Cube Cut
Fantastic!
My first all-cube cut blend. It really does pack easily, and burns very well. I do not think there is any casing, or topping added, but it really is that delicious that it makes you wonder if it is. It has obvious notes of cocoa, and it is nice and nutty, almost like smoking peanuts. I highly enjoyed this on its own, and will probably order more.

Cornell & Diehl - Sun Bear Mountain Flower 2oz
Excellent!
2022 blend was my first chance at Sun Bear, so I don’t know how the previous years were, but I can tell you how amazing this years batch is. Tin note, is FIG NEWTONS which is the upfront aroma, but you can catch faint scents of the blackberry honey and tequila. Nice thin sliced flakes break up nicely. I only gave it about 15 min to dry as this blend isn’t too moist which is a plus. That said it packs and burns beautifully. I detected all of the same flavors as I detected in the aromas, and did a lot retro and even French inhaling. I find those methods of exhaling and inhaling through your nostrils really helps bring the flavor out. I absolutely love sun bear. I only buy two tins of Any special release because I hope everyone that wants to try these small batches gets there chance. There will always be future releases and new stuff to try. Hoarders suck :)

Low Country - Black 2oz
excellent!
This is a very good blend, and deserves more love. the Virginia's are sweet, and rich with wholesome tobacco flavor. The latakia is working with that sweetness to deliver a light smokey undertone that really brings it together. I do not detect a casing, or topping, just good, top shelf leaf. this is good stuff! UPDATE- this is an incredible smoke. Out of the 50+ blends I have and tried, this particular blend is unique to all of them. It’s damn good, and is aging wonderfully. I have a tin of every low country offering and this, cooper, and Atalaya are all delicious and very satisfying smokes. Guendalose too! And Edisto! All of LC’s blends are very good.

Cornell & Diehl - After Hours Flake 2oz
Not as Rummy as I like em, BUT...
This is a very well made/balanced Virginia flake that has plenty of depth, and flavor. its sweet, and dry-fruity, and that bready-hay goodness. I do detect the rum, but not as forward and up front as I usually like. I don't miss it though, honestly. This blend is perfect as is. I also enjoy Interlude, another fine VA blend. both are great and I know this will age very well. Solid smoke!

Mac Baren - Burley: London Blend 3.5oz
2022 release, and my first go at London Blend
First, it is important to stress that I am continuously let down by Mac B blends in general. The only other blend I really enjoy is the HH ODF. Alot of them bite, and usually always kind of bland tasting, like there balkan blend. So many other bolder, and richer blends out there, these often fall flat. I was excited with the tin note, nice chocolatey, and rich tobacco aromas. I just had a feeling it would be good. I gave it 15 min drying time, packed a bowl, and puffed like a freight train and enjoyed every puff. It burns very well. There was a slight, bite, but barely felt it, and it went away quickly. If I sip slower, I guarantee next session will not bite. The Burley is nutty, and rich, as well as bold. just a good, natural tobacco taste, while nicely topped with a chocolatey treat that elevates the entire profile and experience. I almost want to pick up more, we shall see. If you havent had this, give it a try while it is still in stock, you may not love it, but I am pretty sure you will enjoy it. great with coffee!

Cornell & Diehl - Anthology 1992-2022 2oz
Happy 30th C&D, and thank you for a wonderful Blend!
A good, wholesome, and true tobacco blend. A superb mix of VA's bring the natural sweet, and tangy bready goodness to the table. The perique is a nice addition, throwing a little spice/pepper into the mix. I really, really enjoyed my first bowl, and I didnt expect it because it was just tinned sometime in June (forgot the actual date), but I usually let these new releases/small batches sit in the tin for a few months before trying them. I could not hold out any longer on this one though, lol. Ive yet to try Palmetto balkan, letting that one marinate a bit. I only bought two tins of Anthology, and as always I wish I had gotten more.... Im not sure if this is limited release, or will be back, but im hoping for more! 2/7/23 - not even a year, and I was just amazed at how much better this blend has gotten. after my first bowl, I kept it jarred, and was planning on waiting a year, but again I could not resist..... WOW... just an amazingly delicious smoke!

Drucquer & Sons - Loch Ness 100g
Nessie is delicious!
I just keep reaching for my jar of Loch Ness, and truly can’t get enough. I have a decent selection of pipe tobacco to choose from. Probably around 50 jars, give or take a few. Since I have received this, which was only about a month, and I’ve had about 8-10 bowls and have thoroughly enjoyed it and really do Jones” for my next fix. I’ll be at work thinking about packing a bowl of Nessie. I’m not sure what makes a blend “scottish”, but I may need to find another scottish blend to compare this too. I love Latakia, and blends like pirate cake, or any of captain earles Latakia forward offerings. With that said, I also enjoy blends like this where the Latakia takes the back seat and sweet, tangy VA’s hop in the driver seat. The orientals and Latakia work together, neither one jumps in the front seat, but I do get a slight tingle and zip from the orientals, and a nice floral, sweet and sour, and smoky combo from them working together. I can’t say enough, I really really like smoking Ole Nessie here. Hopefully they decide to offer this in the 200g tin. Great job Mr Pease! I may have to try more of D&S’s blends because this blend was my first and a lot of the other blends sound amazing. Happy smokes!

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding Special Reserve Flake 2oz
I could have went without this one
for me, I could not detect any flavor or aroma enhancements with this SR flake release. I love plum pudding, the original. This is slightly improved but for me, only in the preperation department. The flakes are a little thick, but crumble like a cake, and its pretty near perfect as far as moisture level goes. If you enjoy the OG plum pudding, just stick to that, this is too pricey, and not any more special than PP.

Low Country - Santee 2oz
A very well done and tasty aromatic
First, let me say that I’m not a huge fan of aro’s and very picky about how they are topped and blended. Now, Santee! Ripe, sweet, top shelf virginias that would be delicious on its own, is lightly topped with a gentle loving hand with apple, or what I detect is caramel apple. A fresh green apple topped with caramel. Surprisingly, the tobacco is not sticky, or goopy and can pretty much be smoked right out of the tin, or at most 15 min airtime. An absolute pleasure to smoke and I’m glad I have it in my rotation, especially with summer around the corner! Happy smokes

Cornell & Diehl - Interlude 2oz
delicious!
Man, I am on one heck of a VA kick. I am very happy that I purchased this to give it a try. A naturally sweet red VA that is top shelf leaf enhanced with a light touch of honey (seriously light, you can hardly tell it was topped). the retro hale is where I pick up the honey. It really is an amazing smoke that was very well made.. nice thin flakes that break up and smoke beautifully

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
excellent VA/Per
I now understand why this is often out of stock! A truly wonderful smoke. The presentation of the coins are beautiful. They are fatties too! they break up easily, or fold/stuff perfectly and is not too moist, but I do give it a few minutes. this is probably one of the best vaper's I have had, but I only recently started paying attention to this blend combination. Its sweet, bready, dried fruity tangy goodness with a nice spicy under tone that gives this a little kick! I very much enjoy, and I really should have gotten more than 1 tin. the coins are fat, and break up nicely, but not as many coins as I thought~ no complaints, it weighs out, I just want more :)

Cornell & Diehl - Black Frigate 2oz
this is the one!
This is truly a fantastic smoke/blend. without a doubt, something pirates and sailors alike would gladly smoke! A well balanced English blend, with a beautifally cured rummy black Cavendish that truly brings together the latakia, and turkish leaves harmoniously! I absolutely love this. I love Englishes, and I love Navy style and together is absolutely a delicious pleasure to sit down and smoke a bowl too, anytime!!. moisture level is perfect, and as always a perfect crumble cake presentation that breaks up and smokes perfectly... BIG FAN of the BLACK FRIGATE!

Low Country - Edisto 2oz
Fantastic smoke!
This is a very good pipe tobacco. This is the blend that really got me to pay more attention to Virginia's. It is very good. tin note is sweet with plenty of dried fruit tones. It was a fantastic pipe session. Just good wholesome natural tobacco with a sweet, rich and complex profile that also offers some zip, and tangy notes... just a damn good smoke, try it!

Captain Earle's - Ten Russians 2oz
Another winner from our favorite Captain!
I have all of the captains blend, except diamond head. Ten Russians is another solid medium to full bodied English. I’m really enjoying it. It’s complex but balanced nicely. It’s got tangy sweet fruity notes, spicy, floral, earthy. I get a lot, especially on the retro or French inhale which I seem to do a lot with this blend because it’s scrumptious!

G. L. Pease - Sixpence 2oz
Deliciously satisfying, but take it slow!!
The blend really is incredible. I disagree with SP’s profile rating with giving strength, and taste a 3 , room note also. This is a Pretty strong blend which I’m completely comfortable stating. I smoked cigarettes for 15+ years, plus cigars off and on, which I still smoke. So I know tobacco, and this one KICKS. With that said, it is not overbearing or too strong where it will turn you off. If you sip slowly and pace yourself than you’re in for one HELL of a pipe session. This is the perfect blend to chose after one of those days that kicks your ass. Subtly sweet, peppery, spice, tang, and whiskey, or some type of liquor on the retro hale. I will definitely be getting more of this one. Give it a try, You may not love it, but I guarantee you won’t hate it. Happy smokes!

Old German Clay - Ship of the Line
Perfect little pipe!
If you want to dedicate a pipe for sampling new blends, this is the PERFECT pipe for it. If you do not have alot of time, or just want a quick smoke/fix, this is the PERFECT pipe. My only complaint is, the Anchor impression is not as good as the ship, but truly not that big of a deal. It does get pretty warm as the chamber walls are pretty thin, but just take it nice and slow, and sip gently and you will not have any issues, and should have a great tasting smoke without any foreign flavors or aromas coming from the bowl like briar or a cob would.. for 11 bucks, great pipe!

Captain Earle's - Reflections 2oz
Captain Earle has done it again!
This is delicious! this is definitely the mildest of the Capt'n's english offerings. The latakia is on the back end, just giving some smokey goodness on the back end of a sweet, bready, dried fruit/fig/raisin like profile, with hints of hay, and earthy tones while also giving some tongue tickle and spice from the orientals. The pefect name for this blend, as when you are smoking it, you will be forced to sit back, and reflect on not only the goodness you are tasting and smelling, but just reflecting on good thoughts, vibes, and good times overall. Happy smokes!

Captain Earle's - Mystic Blend 2oz
delicious english blend
Another solid english from my fav Capt'n. the crumble cake is nice and thick, perfect moisture content, and breaks apart wonderfully. Its smoky, tangy, spicy.... its like tobacco-beef jerky heaven. I have every captain Earle blend as of now, except Diamond head ( I will get that in time) but so far Honor, and Mystic are my favorites.... but do not sleep on Nightwatch or Stimulus... or ten russians. All very well made english crumble cakes. Stimulus and nightwatch are latakia heavy, but done very well. you really cant go wrong with any of his blends which are done by C&D, so you can expect quality tobacco, on top of an excellent blend!

Cornell & Diehl - Eight State Burley 2oz
solid, and true tobacco!
I missed out on the first release of this blend, so I only know the 2022 batch. I erased my initial review, which was a 3.5 star, and complimentary, however now that I have had several bowls and let it rest a few months in a jar I have a whole new outlook and appreciation for this tobacco. It truly is a wonderful burley blend with oriental and VA mixed in that truly elevate the flavor and aroma profile. It’s deliciously nutty, chocolatey, raisiny, bready goodness. A slight tangy-tingle-citrusy note from the orientals also complimenting the burley goodness. I’m not sure what some other reviewers are tasting, or think they are tasting when it comes to any casing/topping. I do not pick up on that at all. Just good, wholesome, rich and bold tobaccos all working together to bring this marvelous symphony of flavor. If it is topped, it’s a gentle, light kiss of maybe cocoa. I still think it’s natural, but either way it’s an incredibly well done small batch blend that I hope returns next year. Well done C&D!

Lighters - Kiribi Kabuto Mizo Silver
had some issues, but overall still a good lighter
I had to re-do my initial review on this lighter, which is my own fault for putting up a review before owning it for awhile to make sure it is a solid, well performing lighter. Do not get me wrong, this is still a great lighter. I just had some issues with it that I wanted to share. The 1st full tank of butane went flawlessly. I was able to get flame on 1st strike with little effort striking the wheel. it is after that 1st tank ran out, and I had to refill it. I did re-fill it without closing the flame adjustment screw/valve, which is recommended to do in the instruction manual. (my bad). SP customer service was excellent (as always) and had me do a few things to get it working again. This worked for awhile, but after a week or two, it was very hard to get a flame. If i got a flame under 5 strikes of the wheel I was lucky. I sent it in to SP. they didn't really find anything wrong, but did tighten, and inspect all internal screws and components (SP kicks a**). Now, the lighter is working fairly well... it can still be a little finicky, but not bad. On average 1 or 2 strikes does it, but every now and then, 3 or 4 is needed. I do really enjoy the feel, look, and function of this lighter but if I had to do it again, I would go with the Corona IM old boy! - Especially since this lighter just went up a few bucks.

Captain Earle's - Honor Blend 2oz
Excellent Vaper!
An absolute delicious blend. Full bodied, complex profile with notes of pepper, raisin-bready sweetness, and some hay/earthy tones mixed into the creamy, well balanced profile. Man, this is VERY VERY good and I literally just popped the tin from SP. I usually like to let it rest a few days after delivery but I couldn’t wait to try! I can imagine this blend gets 10x better with about a year or more age on it. Def getting more!!!

BriarWorks - Peach Cobbler 2oz
hmmm...... on the fence with this one
Well, it was not what I was expecting, or hoping for. I wanted a noticeable, reshresing peach aroma/flavor, but as hard as I tried, I could barely get the peach notes to come out. What I did smell and taste was pleasant though. It was sweet, and fruity, but not strong, It was also creamy, and the Cavendish and VA did well together, and burned, and smoked beautifully. Im not a huge aro fan, infact I rarely keep the ones I have tried. Aro's are a hot, steamy smoke, and flavor rarely matches tin note. Alot of them burn horribly because they are all gooped up with topping (yuck) The tobacco is and always should be the STAR of any blend, and the tobacco in this blend tastes great, and burns to a clean white ash.. burns just as good as Cult's Blood Red Moon. Love or hate it, you cant deny it burns extremely well for an aro. UPDATE!! , about a month later. The peaches are ripening, and the jar note is freshly cut peaches. not syrupy canned, or candy peach scent, this is very authentic to a tree ripe peach. The tobacco's moisture content is near perfect, and I am really, really enjoying this... this is my #2 aro as of now

Amphora - Kentucky Blend 1.75oz
blown away!
This is very good tobacco! rich, smokey, tangy DFK blended with some naturally sweet VA complimenting it so well. I was not expecting much, although I knew it would be decent, I had no idea how good this would actually be. I cant wait to try the VA blend, but as far as this Kentucky, I will be ordering more, for sure!!! excellent bowl sesh!

Tampers & Tools - 8deco Club Tamper Shimmering Purple
Sweet looking and works great
This is my first vented tamper. I must say the holes really do help a lot by keeping the ash breathing, therefore keeping the cherry lit! I find it very effective to practice the “breath method” while tamping keeps my bowl lit without any issues, and saves me from a couple re-lights. It also really looks sharp. For 10 bucks you really can’t beat it!

Captain Earle's - Nightwatch 2oz
Very good!
This blend is similar to pirate cake, but better! The addition of perique and VA, definitely set this blend apart from PK, and also what makes it stand above it as well. The VA leaf in this blend is naturally sweet, and tangy, and the spicy kiss of perique adds a really nice compliment to the Smokey sweet goodness. A little zip and lip tickle from the oriental leaves. This blend has inspired me to order a few more of the captains blends. This burns very well too. All ash and no dottle

G. L. Pease - Navigator 2oz
Navigated directly to Flavortown!!
Wow, this is delicious! I love windjammer but this is on another level. The DFK and VA leaves are working together on this one, and the results are one sweet, savory, and consistent flavor all the way to the bottom of the bowl. It’s rummy and yummy, and I can imagine this will age very well. I find most blends with DFK taste incredible after at least one year in a jar. I highly recommend trying this tobacco. I can’t imagine a pipe smoker not enjoying this flavor and aroma. Happy smokes!

Seattle Pipe Club - Potlatch 2oz
A rich, full and tasty blend
This is a very good, rich blend of tobaccos. Very much full-bodied, it is strong but not over the top. The latakia is on the back end. The orientals and VA's are upfront and center with zip, tang, and sweet notes, while the perique throws in some spice and kick. the cavendish I think just kind of tones each leaf down a bit, and provides consistency between them throughout the bowl. I do wish it had a tad more smokey-ness to it, but it is a good solid blend with high end rich tobacco. Plum pudding I tend to enjoy more, but this was a nice change.

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East Flake 8oz
My lord that is good
This stuff is incredible, and I’m really surprised I don’t hear it talked about as much (Facebook pipe smokers group). This blend has ALL the right blends of high quality tobacco leaves. This is a fantastic smoke. 50% Latakia, but the red VA and orientals really compliment and tame the latakia so it is not over bearing. You get plenty of sweet, and spicy notes in front of the Smokey goodness. It’s better than pirate cake which was my favorite C&D blend until I tried this. It reminds me of GL’s quiet nights only better. SOTE flake is a lot richer, and fuller while not being either a lat-bomb or nicotine powerhouse. A lot of reviewers compared to penzance. I’ve never had that blend as I can never find it available, but that’s OK with me. I would be 100% happy if I ended up stranded somewhere for life and could only smoke this.. it really is that good. Buy the 8 OZ tin, you’ll just order more if you only buy the 2 and price wise can’t beat it. Happy smokes!!

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 8oz
A Solid and smooth Balkan
A delicious medley of tobaccos make up a very nice crumble cake that delivers consistent and complex flavors throughout the bowl. I do let this dry, but only for about 30 minutes. Pack it on the loose side and you shouldn’t have issues keeping this blend lit. Even when I don’t dry it, I find it still burns fairly well with very little Dottle left in the ash. I got the 8 Oz tin, and can also confirm this blend ages very good. I just had a bowl in my Savinelli 111 KS, and it was a fantastic sesssion :). Happy smokes

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired 1.75oz
Excellent leaf!
Like a few others have already pointed out, this tobacco ages terrifically. When I received this tin from Smoking Pipes, I was eager and excited to try it. The tin note turned me off. It was like ketchup, bBQ saucey, Smokey hay. Not what I was expecting. I did not enjoy my first few bowls. It wasn’t bad, but it just wasn’t what I was expecting, and at the time wasnt getting much flavors. SO, I mason jarred it and forgot about it for just shy of 1 year, which we all know isn’t long at all when it comes to aging tobacco. It still had a saucey, Smokey hay jar note, but it also had a molasses scent to it. I was amazed at how darn good this smoked and tasted. I’m absolutely loving this tobacco and having an amazing pipe session because of it. Bravo Mac B, Bravo!

Low Country - Rum
An Aro blend that is very well made!
I had to completely re-do this review. I have had a complete change of heart, a full 360! I have to stop reviewing after first bowl experiences, especially when they are fresh off the Delivery truck. After letting this sit breath in a jar for about a month or so I revisited. I have it 30 min drying time. Incredible! The burley and cavendish are working very well together, and the tobacco is of high quality. Rich, buttery, and nuttiness mix with a perfect rum and maple aroma that you can taste, especially on French and retro inhale. I’ve had no problem keeping this bowl I’m enjoying right now lit, and tamping suggests this will all be a fine white ash when it’s all said and done. I am not an aro guy. I maybe have 6 aro’s out of 50+ blends. Aro’s are usually steamy, hot, and bitter. This One is very well made and carefully cased with whatever rum/maple flavoring they use. The smoke is rich, and very satisfying! I really really enjoy this one! 3/5/23 - same Jar, and it keeps getting better! the rum is really flavorful, and a fantastic room note that matches flavor. The Burley is strong, but smooth. the black cavendish crackles a bit, but really is delicious and burns amazingly..... great!

Tampers & Tools - Rubber Pipe Bits (2 pack)
wrap your stem fellas!
I love these bits. Every pipe I own has a rubber bit. im a clencher, and do not want to have to worry about damaging a pipe stem. I do not detect any smell or flavor from them, and they are comfortable, and soft to bite on.

Missouri Meerschaum - The Emerald Bent
Great cob!
I really enjoy smoking this pipe, probably more so than my briars. The bowl stays pretty cool, but will heat up when sipping quickly. I tend to smoke fast but mine has never gotten hot, just warm. Mine is getting darker, and didn’t stay “pale” very long. I like it though, it adds some pattern to the cob. The stem is comfy, but I do use a rubber bit. The bottom of bowl has a hardwood insert, which is great because my 5 dollar MM cob burnt out way to fast. I have had this pipe little over a year now. I don’t smoke everyday, but well over 100 bowls strong on this pipe and it’s held up great, and for 24 bucks, can’t go wrong!

Cornell & Diehl - From Beyond 2oz
Puts Nightcap to bed
This is it. An outstanding blend that delivers on all fronts. Flavor profile is complex and full. It’s nutty, it’s spicy and also sweet. It gives a slight tingle from..I guess from the izmir?? It’s got tang and zip but also mellow. Basically, a lot going on and all good things. Very well blended. Going to enjoy this slowly as I only purchased two tins. Hope this blend makes a return next year. 11/14/22 - just had a bowl and had to write how amazing it was. I have not had any since my first bowl after receiving it in the mail. WOW, only 1 year of age in the mason jar, and it was incredibly delicious! smoky, sweet, spicy, and creamy/rich tobacco flavor.... THIS is great stuff!!

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Rum Flake 50g
Near perfection!
I am absolutely loving this tobacco. Sipping away like a mad man as I type this, and drooling from the delicious, rich flavors that are perfectly working together and creating one of the greatest pipe sessions I have ever had. My lord this is an incredible smoke. I’ll take a pound please!!! 1/20/22- Just an update, just 4 months shy of a year, I went for a bowl of rum flake. It’s been awhile since I’ve had a bowl as I’ve been on a major English/ Balkan craze. Anyway, this blend has gotten so much richer resting in a jar. The rum, and maple are upfront, especially upon retro hale. I also get the anise/licorice flavor as well at the very back end and it’s very subtle, but very nice and welcomed. I’m mad I only got two tins when it was in stock, but I don’t like to be greedy :) LOVE THIS BLEND!!

Super Value - Buttered Rum 1.5oz
damn good!
Dont sleep on the pouches! this buttered rum is excellent! buttery, and rummy, burns great and is very smooth/meduim bodied. Sutliff makes it, and it is on par with several of there higher value blends

War Horse - Green 1.75oz
Giddy-up! This horse trolloped right through flavor town!
This is a very well done casing/flavoring. Whatever the process is they nailed it. The plug is perfect. Not rock solid, but firm enough. It breaks apart with ease, and is not sticky, or wet. It is like the perfect moisture. It burned GREAT. Smooth, and very flavorful. I loved the locorice/anise flavor with other fruity, and sweet creamy type of flavor. I kinda suck at describing these nuances, but I am good at recognizing a DAMN GOOD smoke... and this is one of them!

G. L. Pease - Spark Plug 2oz
English brownie of leafy goodness
Oh my lord this is delicious!!!! This plus is basically whole leaves pressed together, so when slicing and rubbing you sill see pretty big tobacco leaves I break it up like a bud of herbal medicine. I like to get it nice and fine, packed on the loose side, and love every puff. GL did an amazing job on this plug. Sell in 8 Oz tins!! Break it up nice and fine, and you will need very few re-lights!

G. L. Pease - Lagonda 2oz
A mild, solid english
I still prefer quiet nights or odyssey over Lagonda, but I still very much enjoyed it. More spice than smoke on the flavor, but the Latakia is very much present, just enough so it does not take over any other leaves. If quiet nights was a little to strong or Latakia dominant for you, give this one a try

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
I can’t stress enough how great this blend is
It’s perfect. The perfect English. It is exotic and complex as others have said. It’s got spice too! A little sweetness, but the spice is front and center. Delicious! It’s not over powering. Everything is perfect as I smoke a bowl as I write this and have a hard time explaining all the nuances and different floral and earthy tones. Just try it, there is no way you can hate this blend. Worst case, it’s not your favorite. Or love it like I do!

Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Solid English!
Pretty good, but nothing special or stand out-ish about it. It’s medium-full bodied. It’s got spice , floral Smokey goodness, and just a sweet creamy, nutty finish keeping it mellow. I do prefer this over EMP

G. L. Pease - Windjammer 2oz
Rummy and yummy!
This blend is great. Sweet natural tobacco flavors everywhere! I love the flavor of the rum too! I’ve tried a few navy blends and barely detected any rum! This one is a winner and I’ll be buying a few more tins! This was my first GL Pease blend and now I’ll be trying a bunch - excellent tobacco - just to add, 9 months of sitting in a mason jar, I am still enjoying this same tin from this original review above. This is a FANTASTIC Navy blend that only gets fruitier, and rummy-er as it cellars. I’m thinking the unflavored cavendish absorbs notes from the rest of the leaves and man it is delicious. Drooling now as I smoke a bowl and type this at same time.

Mac Baren - HH Balkan Blend 1.75oz
Rich, bold English!
I really enjoy this blend. The tobacco is rich and flavorful, but will not over power. It’s got spice but also some sweetness, natural sweetness that really helps calm and round the rougher edges of the bolder leaves. Latakia is perfect, almost in the background but still very much present. Good stuff, will def get more

Mac Baren - Plumcake 3.5oz
Pretty darn good!
I’ve had to completely re-do my review on this fine tobacco blend. After just shy of a year in a forgotten mason jar, I found plum cake! I was not initially impressed with this English aro. To be fair I should have tried it a few more times before reviewing. This blend does very well with some time on it. It is mild but flavorful. The virginias are sweet, burley is nutty and a kiss of smoke from the Latakia all working well with one another and finished off with a splash of rum. Very much enjoying a bowl right now. Burns great, and it is very smooth. If at first not impressed, jar it and try again 6+ months. Happy smokes!

Cornell & Diehl - Pirate Kake 2oz
Incredible!
Easily one of the best English blends available. I’m sipping on a bowl right now and I can honestly say this is the best pipe tobacco I’ve ever had. Floral, Spicy, nutty and smooth! I just purchased the 8oz tin.. it really is that good

Peterson - University Flake 50g
Amazingly smooth, sweet, and pure
I am really enjoying this tobacco. The tin note is incredible. Sweet plums, and natural tobacco flavors from the VA-Bur The flavors have married harmoniously from being pressed. It is not very complex as far as the profile goes, but it sure is consistent from char light to the bottom of the bowl. Smokes pretty good, few delights but I only let it dry for about 30 minutes. It smelled so good I couldn’t wait any longer. Try a tin, you are sure to enjoy

Cornell & Diehl - The Beast 2oz
Excellent!
Very very good tobacco. Rich, full bodied, and rummy! Natural sweetness, with a little spice. It’s a bold blend, but not over powering. Delicious! I really wish I had gotten more that 1 tin.

Peterson - Early Morning Pipe 50g
A solid, mild English.
A perfect blend for your first, and possibly multiple bowl of the day. Very balanced, no one tobacco stands front and center. These leaves all stand together, harmoniously. I keep fanning the smoke back to my face for a whiff. Very good English right here!

Cornell & Diehl - Bow-Legged Bear 2oz
Excellent!
Really, really enjoyed this! Surprisingly mild-medium body while complex in flavor. Nowhere near over powering. Just the right amount of Latakia, where you’re aware it’s in there, it does not take over. This blend deserves more recognition

Mac Baren - Black Ambrosia 3.5oz
Am-Boring
I was let down on this one. Not much of anything going on here... the tobacco was even dull. I could get past bland or dried out casing, but even the tobacco had little to no flavor. perhaps I got a bad batch, I am a fan of MB tobacco's, and had high hopes for this, but sadly it did nothing for me.

Seattle Pipe Club - Plum Pudding 2oz
Amazing blend!
Wow! I love this blend. Im starting to lean more towards English/ Balkan blends over aro’s. Only a handful of aro’s out of a bunch haven’t let me down. Plum pudding is incredible. Smokey, spicey, also sweet, creamy, floral Smokey goodness!!! I haven’t tried special reserve or barrel aged yet, but I can’t imagine this gets better. So glad I got the 8 Oz tin

Peterson - 3 P's Peterson's Perfect Plug 50g
Lets plug!!
I was very tempted to take a bit out of this when I opened the tin. It looked like a brownie, and smelled exactly like raisins, with a very faint scent of cocoa. I cut a few thin strips from the side, rubbed and fluffed up the tobacco goodness, and kicked back and enjoyed every puff, every sip of this fine plug tobacco. Creamy, sweet smoke. I really really like this, and will be buying more.

Mac Baren - Latakia Rolls 3.5oz
Smokey goodness
Take this review with a grain of salt. I am a new pipe smoker, and this is my first experience with Latakia. I have smoked cigars for several years so no stranger to good tobacco. The tin note, really really turned me off. It was like being slapped in the face with a 2x4 from a freshly burnt down house....We are talking smokey!! like liquid smoke type smokey... HOWEVER, it smokes and tastes completely different, and I mean night and day difference. Its rich but smooth, full bodied yet mild, and full of depth. Alot of floral notes, interesting flavor... not flowery or perfumy, just floral is best I could come up with. it was unique. I also got a nice nutty, woody almost nouget or cream flavor with a little bit of peppery spice. I love this blend, and will be getting another tin or two. This blend will definitely age well.

Filters & Adaptors - 8deco 9mm to 3mm Adapter (2-Pack)
These are the ones you need!
These fit like a charm! There’s another adapter out there that fits very loose and raddles around, this one fits much better! I did get a couple small gurgles while using one, but I slowed down, and it went away. I use filters too, but when I run out or feel like a change I put this in. And you get two per pack :)

Filters & Adaptors - White Elephant 9mm Charcoal Filters (40 Count)
High quality!
These are my favorite filters, and I have tried a few different brands. Zero resistance on draw. These do and will capture moisture, while cooling the smoke as it passes through. always look for the elephant for your filter needs!

Sutliff - Rum & Maple
Very good stuff!
Wow, this is seriously delicious. Vanilla custard was my favorite aro, but this blend changed my mind. The maple is front and center, scent and flavor. The rum is chilling in the background, but 100% present on retro and French inhale. Think I want a pound now

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop 2oz
Not what I was expecting, but still enjoyed
I was expecting a richer, full body, with a touch of spice and sweetness. All I really got was meduim bodied, but smooth with a bit of spice/pepper. Im happy to report it does not taste like cigarettes, it is just a different taste profile then most pipe tobacco blends..... I enjoyed it. Update- my 2nd and 3rd bowl were a completely different experience and taste profile. I now love this tobacco. It’s nutty, it’s spicy but also semi sweet on the back end. I loved the room note, and it smokes very well! I get it, I didn’t at first, but now I understand this blend a bit more. I can also see why it’s either a love or hate type of blend. Don’t think there’s an in-between on this one. I’m going after more burley blends!

Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Not one of sutliff's best
I am a fan of a few of Sutliffs aromatics, especially vanilla custard, however this was not good. It is sticky, goopy, and I did not enjoy the topping, or even tobaccos in this. very mild, and uneventful... not for me, but hope you enjoy if you decide to try.

Sutliff - Z92 Vanilla Custard
My go-to Vanilla blend
it does not shock me at all that this blend is currently out of stock. Fantastic blend, Creamy vanilla tin note. It tastes exactly as the aroma, nice and creamy, cool, vanilla goodness. I so regret only getting 1 OZ to try, I should have known I would love it. Updated to a 5 star. After trying several aro’s this is still my favorite! Sutliff really knocked it out of the park with this one.

Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Scrumdiddlyumptious!
Excellent tin note of chocolate, vanilla, and Cherry. I was so happy when I was not blasted in the face by CHERRY. the scent is subtle, as well as the flavor.. all the flavors are present without taking over... lets face it, the star of any blend is, and will always be the TOBACCO. No cough syrup, or way to strong of a cherry scent/flavor... just pure chocolate covered cherry bliss with a kiss of vanilla. retro haling this blend almost had me drooling.... give it a try, even if aromatics aren't your thing, you wont hate this.

Captain Black - Dark 1.5oz
Scrumptious!
I am thoroughly enjoying this all cavendish blend. I have not had any issues keeping the bowl lit. Similiar taste/aroma to a black and mild, only a bit sweeter, and definitely better.

How To Care For Your New Kiribi Lighter- ► Thank you for the info, Michael. I may have fixed it... I emptied/bled the tank and filled 1/2 way, and also put in a fresh flint although I had spark previously... Now I'm back 1st or 2nd attempt lights :) if it acts up again, I will definitely send it in. SP customer support rocks.
