Molina - Barasso Smooth Black (101) (9mm)
Like the Volcano Look
Volcano is one of my favorites, but the larger Molinas tend to have airway/draw problems. Had to drill it out to get the airway opened up. Shorty Molinas don’t seem to have this problem…

Toscano - Maestro Puccini 2oz
Definitely Worth a Go !
Just draws me in. Can’t smoke a bowl without doing two. Love Kentucky and Cigar, though I’m not a cigar smoker. Has some strength and flavor that relaxes. Is meditative and very pleasing. Would recommend…

Old German Clay - Basic Briar Bent Billiard
Love it!
Little Bent Billiard, a great little basic pipe. The one I received was kind of a middle dark red which was fine. Chamber is 1.51 so you still get a longer smoke and is easily clinch able. It’s a thumbs up for me…

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Dark Flake Aromatic
Update: Has become number One
Finding I’m smoking this and nothing else. Smooth, creamy, cool, no bite, just hard to beat. Does need to be dried out, depending on your humidity. Wife accepts the light perfume room note. Tried all the Lakelands, don’t mind the “old lady” notes. But DFA is most similar to 1792, which I also hold high. Waiting for more…

Cornell & Diehl - Star of the East Gold 2oz
Finally
Love this stuff. Did I say I love it, yes sir! Turkish, orientals forward, latakia always there. Virginia, great. After 12 years I’m finding my favorites. Dark Flake Aromatic and this, and my Five Brand Burley. My three top blends. Will cull the rest. All three meditative, prayer instilling. All three-incense. Subjective, for sure. But I’ve arrived, thank You…

Cornell & Diehl - Shandygaff
Shandyperfect
After a lengthy G/H binge Shandy nic comes off almost as strong. Love the ginger burly taste. Burns a little fast, on my third bowl which would be one bowl otherwise. May become my favorite tobacco. Starting my fourth bowl. Wife says the room note is neutral, so that’s a big plus. Don’t get the salt, but the ginger burly oriental is point on ! Everything is subjective, put for me this is the bees nees !!!

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Brown Twist
Brown Sliced
Love this stuff. Smoke alone or more often mix with Kendal Dark. Smooth, strong, contemplative. Love it…

    Why Smoke a Pipe?
  • ► Had a grandad who smoked a pipe. Blew his matches out. An uncle and a cousin too. Bought a falcon when in college, smoked Sail and Paliden. Been a Pastor for 45 years. A pipe is calming, relaxing, contemplative. Started reading Meister Ekhart and smoking my pipe in the sixties. It’s a respite from all the worldly chaos…
