G. L. Pease - Spark Plug 2oz
Dark chocolate in between puffs
This man enjoys a masculine bowl of pipe tobacco. Though Spark Plug requires lots of patience and work to get it suitable for the bowl and maintain lit embers, it’s worth the work. I also enjoy complimenting it by nibbling on a piece of dark chocolate in between puffs.

Warped - Scarecrow 2oz
Butterscotch to my palate
This is my first experience with Scarecrow. This blend provides an excellent tin note, and it leaves a tasty flavor of butterscotch on my palate.

Cornell & Diehl - Pirate Kake 2oz
My #1 favorite that titillates my taste buds
If I were stuck on an island and given the choice of only one tobacco, Pirate Kake (PK) would be my choice, except I’d prefer the 8oz can, which I just added to my wish list. PK provides a phenomenal five-star strength, a four-star room note, with a five-star taste. If you prefer a five coarse meal over a simple dish, then the many flavors provided by PK will titillate your taste buds. The flavor has made me appreciate my God-given taste buds even more than before. It’s packed with a perfect punch, with just enough bite.

Stands & Pouches - Claudio Albieri Leather Cleaners Holder Tan
Attractive, protective & practical
I purchased this holder for two reasons. 1) to protect my pipe cleaners from getting bent, and 2) to protect my Erik Stokkebye Pipe Pouch from being harmed by the wire ends. The holder has proven to satisfy both expectations. However, though the leather on the backside is very thick and durable, but the leather on the front is rather thin and flexible. I suspect if one was to place the pipe cleaners in too far, or press too hard, the wire would poke thru the leather front.

Stands & Pouches - Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 4 Pipe Combo Pouch Hunter Brown
Attractive, practical, well-stitched & much functionality
I am very thankful for this Erik Stokkebye 4th Generation 4 Pipe Combo Pouch. It is everything the description says it is (and more). The way they put it together provides an attractive practical pouch that provides much functionality. I use it at home, and always when I’m on the road, as it compartmentalizes everything I need for a trip. The leather is of a well-stitched high quality, and will surely outlive me.

Three Nuns - Three Nuns 1.75oz
Invaded by a hairy white fungus after 5 weeks
On 06/23/2021 I received my first tin of Three Nuns. The tin note was boring, the taste was terrible, and the room note was unidentifiable. Throughout the next four weeks I attempted several more bowls. Today on 07/28/21 I noticed it was now invaded with a hairy white fungus. Upon arrival the coins were very dry, so I do not believe it was a mold. Nonetheless, I was happy to toss this can in a trashcan. Perhaps a red biological receptacle would have been more suitable. 😞

Lane Limited - 1-Q
I added 1-Q to my favorites list
Lane’s mixture of Golden Cavendish and Fire-Cured blend fosters a delightful environment, not only for the smoker but for non-smokers too. The unpackaging note brought a sweet aroma, the taste was perfect for my tastebuds, and the room note was just as good. I smoked 1-Q in my Peterson System Deluxe, also purchased from Smoking Pipes. I have added 1-Q to my favorites list.

CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Tell my wife about Eileen
Upon opening my tin of Eileen’s Dream, I was welcomed with a pleasant aroma of Whiskey, dominated by the Vanilla. Because her name is Eileen, I decided to test our relationship by accompanying her with my masculine Brigham Giant 1202 pipe (with a rock maple insert). Eileen provided a steady easy to maintain burn and met with zero tongue bite. The room note was most pleasant. So, if I ever say the word “Eileen” in one of my pipe dreams, it’s because I love her. So, tell my wife about Eileen. Eileen will be placed on my top five favorites.

Ashton - Smooth Sailing 50g
Lots of tongue bite & a not so smooth sailing experience
Since I enjoy boating, I thought 'ah Smooth Sailing.' Upon opening my tin, I was welcomed with a pleasant aroma of chocolate and maple. I then armed myself with my Savinelli Extravaganza, I loaded one balsa filter into my chamber and loaded my bowl. It provided a steady burn, but a tongue and nicotine bite that was too much for me. The room note was pleasant, but I could not wait to brush my teeth, so the sailing wasn’t as smooth as I had hoped. I wonder what the tongue bite would be without the Bolsa filter system? My taste might be the problem, and so perhaps you will have a better experience.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Pleasant aroma w/ smooth consistent burn & a slight crackle & pop of embers
Upon opening my order of 1-Q tobacco I was immediately welcomed with a pleasant and mild aroma of raisin. The moisture right out of the tin was nearly perfect. I then armed myself with my Neerup Classic Bent Pot Churchwarden (purchased from Smoking Pipes) and began packing my bowl. The tobacco was slightly springy but easy to pack and flatten. Once packed there was no added restriction to the draw. After lighting up I enjoyed the notable blend of golden Virginia and black Cavendish, which delivered a consistently smooth and mild flavor without any tongue bite. Though the bowl never got too hot, I enjoyed the consistent notable presence of smoke, and at times when I placed the bowl near my ear, I could hear the slight crackle and pop of the embers cooking. And it provides a consistently smooth burn. This pleasurable experience left behind a very pleasant room note that everyone should appreciate. I will be adding 1-Q to my list of favorites.
