Cornell & Diehl - Folklore 16oz
Folklore galore!!
I wasn’t real sure buying 1 lb of a blend I’ve never tried was a good idea, but I threw caution to the wind with hopes of capturing a unicorn fart. Folklore is not quite that unicorn fart, but it’s pretty damn good. It’s mellow, it’s smoky, it has a delightful floral note, and the moisture level is right. My suspicion is that this will age nicely, but only time will tell. If you’re still on the fence, and there’s a brick or two still available, don’t hesitate to enter the world of Folklore.

Filters & Adaptors - White Elephant 9mm Charcoal Filters (40 Count)
Works great!!
I recently bought a Rattrays pipe and it came with one of these filters. The first time I smoked the pipe I didn’t use the filter, which resulted in some gurgle and ingestion of hot tobacco, bleh! I used the filter the next time and it eliminated both issues without compromising the flavor of the tobacco. These things work great and I highly recommend them!

Rattray's - Marlin Flake 100g
Finally!!
Waited a long time for this one, but I finally got my hands on a few tins. First impressions are the tobacco tastes young, but still very good. My suspicion is that this will be a phenomenal blend once it’s aged a bit. I’ve got two tins cellared and I look forward to its maturity a fer piece down the road.

Cornell & Diehl - Palmetto Balkan 8oz
No Regrets
This will be my first go with a Balkan blend, so I don’t know what to expect, nor do I have anything to compare it to. I do know that C&D has produced quite a few fantastic small batch blends, nearly all of which released in the past year I have purchased. Here’s the thing about these blends, if you what to try them, and you know there’s only a few to go around, then make the effort to get them! Otherwise, quit giving bad reviews just because you’re butthurt you didn’t snag a tin or three. As for the 8 oz offering on this one, I wasn’t crazy about that as I prefer multiple 2 oz tins. That’s a problem easily remedied with a jar. That preference didn’t stop me simply because I wanted to try this blend. No need to criticize the tobacco or producer just because your personal preferences aren’t met. I look forward to this blend and many others offered by C&D in the future!!! Brennan C, why you mad bro?

Sutliff - Uno 50g
Why not?
I must admit that I’m a “limited run” junky, so when I saw this I had to pull the trigger. Tin art is fantastic and the tobacco is not too bad either. It reminded a lot of Crumble Kake #3, which is not a bad thing. I bought two tins, one to smoke and one to age. I think in time this will be a fantastic smoke. I look forward to the other releases in this series.

Low Country - Waccamaw 2oz
Waccadelicious!
Waccyourmaw, waccamole, waccadoodledandy… Pronunciation varies, but presentation and delivery are steady and outstanding!! The tin note is that of a barnyard, which I like, and the taste is very earthy with a touch of pepper, also glorious. Do yourself a solid and grab a tin or three, you won’t be disappointed. Update: After smoking nearly a whole tin, this blend is unequivocally my #1 tobacco!!

G. L. Pease - Windjammer 2oz
Pretty Jam Good!
As a seasoned full-bodied cigar connoisseur, but new to pipe smoking, I've been looking for blends that offer a nice nicotine kick. Pease's Windjammer definitely did not let me down! This is a blend that I think about constantly when contemplating what the next bowl of smoke will be. Don't hesitate on buying this one, it's well worth your hard earned dollar.
