A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Good stuff
This is a very good anytime smoke. It has a nice grassy Virginia flavor and a good dark fruit flavor from the perique. Jar some up and give it some time. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good fresh but taste even better with some age.

I love this stuff. It’s great anytime of day or season. It has a nice sweet and tart lemon flavor.

I didn’t like this the first time I had it. As a matter of fact I gave it away to someone in the IG pipe community. Turns out I needed to give myself time with different blends to mature my palate. Now, this is becoming one of my go to blends. The flavors are absolutely amazing. It’s a nice easygoing blend. It has a nice dark fruit notes along with a nice sweet Virginia flavor. I really enjoy smoking this on my way to work. If you don’t like it at first, jar it up and give it and yourself time.

Absolutely lovely
I love this stuff. It tastes like the description, a subtle fruity/vanilla. The VA’s are nice and grassy slightly sweet flavors. This is definitely not like most American aromatics. It’s almost like the flavors are naturally a part of the tobacco. I can’t get enough. I’m buying all that I can since it’s really really hard to come by.

Cornell & Diehl - Sunset Harbor Flake 2oz
Can’t get enough
I absolutely love this blend. I was so surprised how much I loved it. When I got my first tin I couldn’t get enough of it. I smoked it solely until it was gone and then ordered more. To me the orientals are the frontman and the Latakia is the rythme section and the perique adds a sweet melody here and there. If you like Balkan blends, I highly recommend giving this a try.
Capstan - Ready Rubbed Blue 1.75oz
Lovely
This and Capstan Gold are pretty much the only straight VA’s that I actually like. It’s a nice simple but satisfying smoke. Great flavor!
Cornell & Diehl - Izmir Turkish
Smooth
This is sort of a simple blend but there’s so much flavor going on. It has a herbal/floral vibe going on and it’s sweet and savory. It took a few lights to get going but after that it was smooth sailing. No bite or tingle just a nice easy going smoke.

I didn’t care for this at first but after smoking more of it and other shags, it has grown on me quite a bit. It definitely doesn’t taste like cigarettes. It just takes time to figure out how to smoke it. I smoke this almost everyday.

Kramer's - Blend for Danny Kaye
Nice
Not a blend that I smoke much but it has a nice flavor and good room note. This one is definitely better than the Cary Grant blend.

Better with time
I've tried smoking this several times but I just can't get there. Edit 08/22: I recently dipped back into the jar and I must say that this is a really nice smoke. Probably not going to be in my regular rotation but it’s a nice change of pace.

Sooo Good!
The title pretty much says it all. I can't even explain why I like this so much. It's not an everyday or a regular for me but it's perfect when I'm looking to smoke something different.

This is the first non-aromatic tobacco that I tried and immediately fell in love with it. This is pretty much the only pipe tobacco my wife will smoke with me.
Mac Baren - 7 Seas Royal 3.5oz
Very nice
I thought Captain Black Royal was good but this blows it out of the water(pun intended). This is one of my everyday blends. Great room note and doesn't lose flavor.

Pleasantly surprised
This was recommended to me by the Artful Codger and boy am I glad he did. I loved this from the first light. It tastes really good. It’s a nice smooth smoke and has a pleasing aroma. It reminds me of being a kid.
