Vauen - Auenland 50g
5 Stars in a Briar
5 star rating in a briar pipe, 3 in a meer. In the meer there seems to be this bitter, ash taste up front that dissipates immediately, but I experienced it on every draw. This quirk is masked in a briar, though, so you get only the best elements out of it then. Taste reminds me a lot of apricots with a bit of playful, slight citrus. Sweet and relaxing, I want this in my rotation, but probably will only smoke it out of briar pipes.
Cornell & Diehl - Byzantium 2oz
Dark and Smooth
I would describe this as dark, spicy, and smooth. Full body type of taste and I got a good nicotine hit off of this, too. Rich and relaxing, probably not my everyday type of smoke, but doesn't disappoint when I want an English style blend.
Holger Danske - Black and Bourbon 50g
Dark and Creamy
Dark and creamy is how I'd describe this. The aftertaste is sweet and smokey, kind of a faint reminder of molasses. It tastes good all the way through. It seems to like to stay on the dry side, so don't worry if it doesn't seem as moist as most other blends and smoke it slow. 4 stars = excellent.

Solid Everyday Carry Pouch
The pipe pouch can’t accommodate a really long stem or one with a significant bend, but a slight bend fits fine. I would guess a 7” stem would be about the maximum length and anything wider than a 2-2.5” bowl would be pushing it. The tobacco pouch is spacious, but I use one of the 1790 tobacco boxes on this site and it fits neatly inside. There’s a front pouch for accessories; I fit a Czech tool, a lighter, and wind cap in mine with space to spare. The back has a slot for pipe cleaners, I usually carry about 10, but it could hold more if you crammed them in. This has replaced a rollup pouch for me, as I’ve found this more convenient. Good quality and it seems to be holding up quite well with regular use.
Sillem's - European Blend: Copenhagen 50g
Nutty Aromatic
Like tge description says, toasted nuts and amaretto. I can really taste the amaretto on retro-hale. Very nice flavor and will be adding this to my rotation.
Sillem's - Blue 100g
subLIME!
Emphasis on the lime; it isn’t subtle, but neither is it overbearing. The smoke is citrusy and has a “light” refreshing texture. Shane Ireland used the word “zesty” in his review, which is a great descriptor. If you’re a fan of lime, like me, this is great and is quick becoming a favorite of mine.
Cult - Conspiracy 50g
Smooth
Smooth and slightly sweet. Can definitely taste the hint of honey with the smoke. Every smoke I’ve had with this blend has pleased and when I can’t decide which blend to take with me for the day, this is usually the go-to.

A must have.
This has the major tools you would need for smoking a pipe in one package. Simple, effective, and durable.
Stands & Pouches - Antique Brown Folding 1 Pipe Pouch
A Workhorse.
Keeps a pipe, lighter, cleaners, tool, and tobacco into one roll up pouch. Only complaint I might have is that tobacco left in the pouch will dry quickly. Solution: I keep the tobacco I carry in it in a zip-lock. This is something I carry and use frequently and is holding up quite well. (Purchased a year before this review).

This has worked great for about a year so far. I love the feel and the vintage-meets-modern aesthetic.
Cleaners & Cleaning Supplies - Peterson Tapered Pipe Cleaners (50 Pack)
Works well, none abrasive.
These are quite absorbent, non abrasive, and the taper can help running through the mouthpiece, especially during a smoke. I mention that it's non abrasive, because some people might worry about damaging meerschaum, these will not and I find them perfect.
Captain Black - Cherry 1.5oz
Captain, WTF happened?!
First, if you're a cherry lover, here are three blends that are vastly superior: Cult Blood Red Moon, McLintock Black Cherry, and Gawith Hoggarth & Co American Black Cherry. I like Cpt Black, but this smells like cherry flavored medicine and has a chemical taste to it. Cannot recommend.
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - American Black Cherry
A solid cherry blend.
This is a good, easy smoking cherry blend. I've found that I like Cult Blood Red Moon or McLintock Black Cherry better, but this is also very good.
McLintock - Black Cherry 50g
Excellent, but requires your attention.
If you can maintain the temperature of your smoke such that it doesn't get too hot, WOW, amazing! It dries out easily, so I've found I have to keep a humidifier disk with it and if you get it too hot, will not be that great. Has a hint of cherry with a whiskey taste to it.
Cornell & Diehl - Irish Blessing 2oz
Like smoking a dessert.
This is sweet, smooth, and retains its moisture well. Taste reminds me a bit of Irish Cream liquor. It's like smoking a desert, so I found it pairs well after a meal.
Filters & Adaptors - Tsuge Kulu Cool 9mm Filter
If you want a dry smoke, here you go!
If you don't like traditional filters, but want a dry smoke this works well. Keeps your own moisture from getting to the bowl as well. As long as you keep it clean, it will not corrupt the flavor.
Tobacco Jars - Small CVault Humidified Tobacco Container
Great little product to keep your tobacco fresh.
You can fit an entire 50g tin of tobacco in this. I use the small disc humidifiers to keep the tobacco moist and leave out the two-way Bovida pack with the exception of really moist blends.
Stands & Pouches - Tobacco Pouch Humidifier
Simple and it works.
Use distilled water, soak for about 10 minutes, and you're good for about a month maybe more. I like my tobacco moist and these keep it that way.
Cornell & Diehl - Dreams of Kadath 2oz
A mysterious blend not for everybody.
The taste is good and has a mystique about it, but the smoke is harsh to me. I like to pass smoke through my nose to really get the flavor, but this stings quite a bit when I do. Otherwise, the taste is good and unique, so I can see why people like it. I noticed it was more enjoyable for me when smoking in meerschaum. Not going to be a go-to for me, but it is solid.
Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Extraordinary Cherry Blend
This is simply amazing! If you're looking for a good cherry blend this is it. Very tasty, smells good, and the right amount of cherry hint. Went straight to the top of my favorites. I noticed that the flavor is enhanced in some of my briars.
