Capstan - Flake Blue 1.75oz
Recant from my earlier Cajun piper review
I've had some more time to play with Capstan and have also had it nicely aged to about 4 years. I've found that it really like to oxidize in the tin about a month and dry naturally before a full rub out and smoke. Nice malty notes, very enjoyable. I find myself wanting to smoke it almost exclusively. It really is a nice virginia. A comforting friend with a silky, malty mouthfeel.
G. L. Pease - Windjammer 2oz
Will age to become a legend
So the best thing I can say about this blend is...... no mouthbite, whatsoever. This is an amazing feat as my palate is sensitive to certain tobaccos. HAs a great strength, i find it is close to the same vein as Navigator, minus the brandy topping and the DFK. The cavendish has a smooth mouthfeel and great taste. It will age into imho one of Greg's finest accomplishments. The only downside is that it doesn't yet come in an 8oz. container
