Padron - Serie 1926 Natural #1
This is the best cigar I’ve ever had. That is not hyperbole. It is pheonomenal.
Dan Tobacco - Blue Note 50g
Not often do I make this statement, but I would give this 10 stars if I could. I get a mellow hint of blueberry when I smoke it. I am very impressed. It is a little wet for me right now first opening the tin, but man, it’s good.
Acid - Blondie Maduro
It’s a good cigar, but not my favorite. I prefer the regular Blondie.
Drew Estate - Isla del Sol Sun Grown Gran Corona
One of My Favorites
This is a fantastic cigar. It has all of the sweetness of an Acid, but with the traditional tastes of a maduro cigar. It is a sweet Fuente Short Story.
Acid - Cold Tea Fusion
Smooth As Silk
It’s tough to beat this one. The only downside to this one is it was a little larger than I like to smoke.
Acid - Blondie Candela
A Sweet Mint
A light, sweet mint flavor - very much like cloves. Every Blondie I have smoked, I like. However, this is probably my second favorite behind the Blue.
Acid - Blondie Red
Not my favorite Blondie
A great cigar nonetheless, but not my favorite. It has a berry/cream retrohale. Maybe raspberry? I would definitely smoke them daily if on hand. My favorite so far has been the Blue.
Brick House - Maduro Robusto
I enjoy them. Comparable to the Perdomo 20th Anniversary. I’m not a big fan of them, but I can enjoy them in a pinch. They are pretty light with a smooth hint of cocoa.
Acid - Blondie
I am an aromatic tobacco pipe smoker for the most part and it was tough for me to find a similar cigar. I smoked a ton of Maduros prior to getting this little gem. Outstanding. It is best described as a light, strawberries and cream taste, super sweet at first, then mellows out later. I could smoke one every day and not get tired of them.
Rocky Patel - Vintage 1992 Petite Corona
Small, But Stout
I started tasting the cocoa towards the end. It had a big kick of nicotine. Pretty good overall.
Drew Estate - Undercrown Shade Corona Pequeña
Smooth tasting cigar, definitely medium bodied. I’m not sure that I tasted any nutty vanilla notes like in the description, but it was smooth. I’ll keep on looking.
Gran Habano - Corojo #5 Lunch Break
I honestly can’t see how this could be a 5 on strength (unless I’ve just been smoking too much...lol). It is VERY light with a consistent flavor. I got a little more spice than what I like, but it was pretty tasty overall. I would buy again.
Arturo Fuente - Hemingway Short Story
This is my go-to right now. I’ve had two and have really enjoyed both.
Tatuaje - Havana VI Verocu No. 5
It’s a nice cigar. I’m not sure I like it as much as some others out there, but it is relatively smooth without too much aftertaste.
Newminster - No.400 Superior Navy Flake
All Virginias taste similar to me. Very dry smoking, much like a hay taste. This isn’t any different.
Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Not Bad...But Not Good
It’s the first time I’ve tried it. It was ok, sweet and a little spicy. I’ll let it age and try it again.
Cornell & Diehl - Apricots and Cream
Without a doubt, the best tobacco I’ve ever smoked. I could get rid of my entire collection right now and buy this by the pound.
Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Very mild taste and sweet room note. I really enjoyed it. May get better over time.
Sutliff - Pumpkin Spice
Great taste with a very sweet room note. I could taste the pumpkin spice, which was interesting. Not my favorite, but it could be when it dries a little.
Sutliff - Z92 Vanilla Custard
Ok...Maybe Too Wet
Overall, the taste was bland. Very sweet room note. Going to give it a few more tries before I give up on it.
Sutliff - 707 Sweet Virginia
Very bland with very little taste. I was kind of surprised after seeing all of the positive reviews.
Peterson - 3 P's Peterson's Perfect Plug 50g
Solid Even for a Novice
I really enjoyed this blend. Could have been a little less smoky and more sweet, but I liked it. It really had a pleasant, chocolatey aftertaste.
BriarWorks - Pete's Beard's Blend 2oz
I wasn’t overly impressed by this, but did feel it was a quality blend. Light and easy to smoke, with a touch of spiciness.
Lane Limited - 1-Q
Jury Is Out (Updated)
Very good, light blend, but it is actually too light for me. Ironically, it is very highly rated for beginning smokers. Maybe I’m just being too picky, but it wasn’t overly impressive...this time. Edited: Ok...I came back to it tonight and I’ve got to say, it’s amazing. I let it dry out a few hours this time and man, I was getting all kinds of different notes. There was some strawberry and a creamy vanilla to this one. I moved it up to a 5.0 on this second smoke.
Lane Limited - BCA
Jury Is Out (Updated)
I’m undecided on this as far as a rotation smoke for me, but it is a very high quality blend. Very light and perfect for an every day smoke. I really wasn’t impressed with it this go-around. Edit: After coming back to this one, it’s gonna go into my rotation. I actually prefer it over Balkan Supreme now.
Arango - Balkan Supreme
#5 For Me (Updated)
I was very pleased with the taste of this blend. In my opinion, it is head and shoulders above every other English. I am not a big fan of the English category, but this is a solid blend. It was a clean smoke all the way through, and very light on the palate. It would be a very good every day smoke. Upon second smoke, I wasn’t as pleased. It has actually been replaced by BCA for me.
Peter Stokkebye - PS400 Luxury Navy Flake
My #4 in Rotation
Very light and tasty. I didn’t feel like it was as strong as what it’s rated above. Virtually no aftertaste, but you can taste a faint spicey note on the back end. This could easily be an every day/all day smoke for me if I was an every day/all day smoker.
Lane Limited - RLP-6
#3 for Me, But Close
This blend tastes almost 100% like Missouri Meerschaum’s Great Dane Blend. Very very smooth with a little bit of bite on the back end. I’m not a professional and can’t detail everything very well, but I can tell you that I like it. In all reality, this and Great Dane are neck-and-neck for my #2 spot, but I gave my homeboys from my home state of Missouri the nod! LOL
Missouri Meerschaum - Great Dane 1.5oz
My #2 Go-To
While I’m still in the novice stages of my taste development, this tobacco stands out to me. While there are a lot of brands that make claims of certain tastes, this one is spot on. There is a very faint bite on the back end that I don’t know how to explain just yet, but it is pretty awesome. Very well done.
CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
After smoking about 10 tobaccos back-to-back (may be ill-advised, but hey, I’m a beginner and have no clue...lol) I can tell you that this is the most outstanding blend I had. I could very easily smoke this and nothing else from here on out.
CAO - Cherrybomb 50g
Definitely a Bomb
This may be the worst tobacco on the planet. I’m not sure that I can say anything positive about it. I would give it a zero, but it won’t let me.
Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Not My Taste (Updated)
I’m not going to blast away on this blend, as I’m not a tobacco expert by any means, but it simply isn’t for me. The best way I can describe the tin notes and taste is that of a smokeless tobacco that I used to dip - Copenhagen. If Copenhagen was a pipe tobacco, this would be it. I’m not a fan. Update: I let this sit for about 5 hours and dry today. Stuffed in my pipe and got a completely different flavor profile. This goes to show, you never want to give up on a tobacco.
