Cornell & Diehl - Three Friars
My All Day-er
After buying a half dozen pipes and three times the number of tobaccos in pursuit of this new hobby, Three Friars has become my old reliable, the fabled “all day” smoke. Burley brings to the table some no-nonsense character and a healthy (but not overpowering) backing of vitamin N, while the Virginia in the blend sits back a bit but provides a comforting sweet-but-not-to-sweet tint to the smoke. A dash of perique livens up the whole ordeal without too much attention drawn to it either. Overall, a fine interplay between quality ingredients. A subtly sumptuous blend for a nice, regular smoke.
