Savinelli - Brunello Flake 100g
All Day Smoke
The aroma of the tin smells sweet like honey, which is really promising and the smoke won't disappoint either. Burns slowly, cool and clean, with a very sweet taste from start to finish. No biting, not even when you push hard. If you want to criticise something, the Macedonian is difficult to taste. Otherwise, it is a really excellent smoke from high quality tobacco. Graham crackers in a pipe.

Sutliff - Crumble Kake Virginia Perique 1.5oz
The best one for me
I am "addicted" to this one because it is that good. I love it! Sour, plum, raisin and lemon - refreshing. The Cavendish will give you a bit of sweetness but it is a background player. Cool and steady smoke - I do not need any relight. You will find two thick slices of cake in the tin - you can rub them easily out or cut them in the way you like it.

Great Summer Smoke
Nearly forgot that I have this in my between my tobaccos. Citrusy Virginia with some some bread and sugar. Some Lakeland topping, but most likely not that dominant. As others have written before; no tongue bite, nice nic hit. Easy to rub out and could be smoked the whole day. GWC is one of my favourites and this one is definitely the one I will smoke during the hot season. It burns cool, slow and steady. No drying time needed - just enjoy.

Nice Aromatic
This is a well balanced aromatic, fruity, citrus, orange, earth, honey and a little bit of spiciness. The fresh citrus aroma is the main part in this tobacco which makes it really enjoyable. The aroma is perfectly executed and goes really well with the Virginia. As it as a flake you will find one long rope which can easily be broken to fill the bowl. It will burn cool and slow as well as there is no bite. Strength and taste are medium and the nic level is near to mild. Even it is a high quality smoke, it is not an all day smoke.

Ashton - Gold Rush 50g
The easy one
This one belongs to the easy smokes - fresh, honey and citrus. It looks nearly like a broken flake because it is much coarser then ribbon usually should be but there is no need of further rubbing. It will burn cool and slow but it will bite you if you push really hard. As longer it burns it becomes more tangy and more satisfying. No drying needed. The nic and taste level is laying in the mid. An all all day smoke and perfect with a lemonade or a nice, fresh cocktail. Five stars because it is a really easy, not complex and enjoyable tobacco.

Could be better
This is a high quality tobacco without any doubts. The plum is the most obviously but you can also taste some raisin and a bit of citrus. It burns cool, will not bit you and the flavour stays from the beginning till the end. For my taste it is a bit dull and could be more round because the execution seems to be a bit behind the idea when done this tobacco. The nic level goes slightly over medium and the flavour is between medium and strong. This is not an all day smoke.

Solani - Virginia Flake - 633 100g
A really great one
Solani for sure and at least for me makes one of the best tobaccos out there and this one is maybe one of the bests. Fresh, tangy, citrus, spiciness smoke, seems to have a lite topping. The flakes are perfect to break and to smoke right out of the tin but aged it becomes much better. This is a well balanced mix. Could be smoked all day, is in the middle of taste and nic. It burns cool and slow and needs some relights.

Cornell & Diehl - Sun Bear 2oz
Great Tobacco
I just saw that it is back in stock - 8 tins have been added to the shopping list - wanted to pay 15 minutes later but too late - all tins are gone. This is one of my top 3 tobacco. The honey is the obvious topping here, the alcohol a little, but not too far in the background. Same with the sweet elderflower, it is there but in also not that dominant. Could have a touch of more oriental but all in all it is well balanced and an interesting combination of all ingredients. It is a smooth sweet and slightly sour smoking experience. The flakes are easy to break and can therefore be packed perfectly into the pipe. No bite, cool smoke, low to mid on the nic, no drying needed but recommended, easy to light up. The perfect summer tobacco.

Dan Tobacco - Treasures of Ireland: Donegal 50g
The one for the aro lover
A perfect size tobacco tin, small and handy. The first smell is different than expected, fruits are very dominant (honey, berry mix, alcohol?), a smell of tobacco is hardly noticeable. The pipe smokes well with this tobacco, cold and without biting, but the fruits are the dominant part. The Virginia seems to add a slightly nutty and earthy touch, but this is more noticeable in the background. I like to smoke flavored tobacco, but this one has too much aroma and too little tobacco for my taste. No question, I'm not saying that this is a bad tobacco, on the contrary, it is a high quality aromatic tobacco, only that it doesn't appeal to me. Any smoker who prefers flavored tobacco, I can recommend this one and they will not be disappointed. A tip at the end; The tobacco is very moist straight from the tin, let it dry a little so that it can be smoked better.

Solani - Aged Burley Flake - 656 50g
Earthy, dark chocolate with a dash of strong coffee
Earthy, dark chocolate, coffee, cool smoking, no bite - amzaing tobacco - hard not to like it. The first smell from the tin is great too, you almost want to bite into it. Just a reminder, straight from the tin, it is difficult to light the tobacco and I recommend letting it dry for about 20 to 30 minutes as it will be perfect afterwards and a heavenly delight. At least for me ....

Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Really Really Good
The first smoke in a briar was really nice and something new for me, from the taste and the nic shot. The second smoke didn't go well, I don't know why, but I really didn't like it. I then switched to a meerschaum and since then I've really fallen in love with this tobacco, every time since then I've really enjoyed it. Now it's one of my favorites.

Peter Heinrichs - Reserve Crue No. 4 100g
Sweet Caramel
Really sweet smell out of the tin - caramel popcorn smells really the same. First smoke did not met my expectations; no bite and soft but the sweet taste was too chemical. I jar it and after only 2 weeks I gave it a new try; the taste and the smoking is much better. I will let it some more time in the cellar.

Captain Black - Cherry 1.5oz
Not good
This burns hot and will bite you if you are too fast. The smell from the bag and the taste are on the chemical side. If you have nothing else to smoke, you have to choose it, otherwise skip it and look for a better choice.

Savinelli - Aroma 50g
Nice tobacco
This is a really nice tobacco with a good tin note and a good room note as well. Nutty sweet taste with no bite at all. From the nicotine side it is on the low side. Perfect and relaxing to smoke combined with a nice glass of Turriga.

Ashton - Smooth Sailing 50g
Nice Smoke
First of all you should dry it for at least half an hour - as longer as better. Has a good taste and it’s a clean smoke with no bite. An excellent tobacco and a good choice for a relaxing evening. Recommended

Stanwell - Melange 50g
Perfect for the starter
Really nice tin and room note and easy to pack. You have to smoke slowly or it will bite you. Good quality tobacco and worth the money - at least for me.
