Seattle Pipe Club - Potlatch 2oz
Better with age
I enjoy my burleys so this was a definite try for me. As I did enjoy it when I got it fresh, it didn't entice me back. I put a quarter pound in some jars and cellared them. A significant improvement. The latakia settles down a bit. It's very earthy, walnuts ? Delicious.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Bob's Chocolate Flake 50g
Ticks all the boxes
Burns very well and slow. The taste is unique, sweet burnt cocoa on the palate. I do not detect any lakeland in this blend. I often wonder if people see mistaking the type of latakia being used here for the Lakeland. Missouri meerschaum uses a similar latakia in their blends, does not have the smokey leather creosote taste or smell of other Latakia I have smoked. A little work to prepare, I like it rubbed out fresh from the tin. Put a half pound of this in a Jar for safekeeping.. Yum!

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Its ok....
Its a tasty smoke once in a while. Tried to smoke this a couple times in one day , and the second bowl, is just not good, for me it loses all the sweet/grassy/spice and is not enjoyable. Good once in a while. Definitely better vaper blends out there. Elizabethan and Sutliff CRUMBLE CAKE vaper come to mind.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Scrumptious
IMHO Escudo is great, Orlik golden sliced is better. Deliciously smooth with slight hints of licorice and citrus and subtle bites of pepper. Absolutely my go to va/per.

Cornell & Diehl - Dreams of Kadath 2oz
Brandy
A good smoke, but not an every day one in my books. Spicy perique and Virginia's are up front, quite boozy, brandy I think, best if left aged for a year, to soften up the casing flavour.
