Davidoff - Danish Mixture 50g
I was skeptical of this blend after reading the reviews but I had to try it for myself. Honestly, this is a great tobacco. Mild but interesting and goes great with a black cup of coffee as well as a cheap bottle of sweet Spumante. Both compliment each other nicely. This is a tobacco you smoke slow, nice and slow. Sip this tobacco and it will open up for you. Smell is a perfect pipe tobacco smell, sweet, with a nice tobacco aroma but not sickly. The best part is that it won't haunt your mouth the rest of the day. Drink or eat something and the after taste is gone. I am really glad I bought this and gave it a try. What a great find.
Comoy's - Cask No.7
IMO this is a pretty good smoke. Tastes great, burns normal, smells great. Leaves a sort of ashtray after taste but it doesn't last long in the mouth. It can be an all day smoke if you like this sort of thing. For me the sampler bag was enough to squash my curiosity. I personally would buy a tin of it. But that's me, smoke what you love.
Grand Croupier - Jack Pot
Smells good and that's it
It smells good in the bag, but it tastes like a combination of cigarette and cigar tobacco, and doesn't smell aromatic at all in the bowl. It stung my throat every time I swallowed. Not for me.
F & K - Lancer Slices
This is a great Vir/Lat mix. Full smelling room note, great full taste however, smother than you might think. I recommend if you like big blends.
Lane Limited - Black Raspberry
Wow....what can I say other than its my new favorite. The flavor is awesome and lasts the entire bowl. Smells amazing and the room note is wonderful.
Sutliff - Match Victorian
Really loved this tobacco. Smoked it in an Old Dominion corn cob. Wow...complex but subtle. Smooth and sweet. Highly recommend.
Sutliff - 523 Voodoo Queen
Great Full Taste
Great full tasting tobacco, smells pleasant. Full body, burns well, tastes good all the way to the bottom of the bowl. I recommend
Mac Baren - Virginia No. 1
It is what it is
Nice straight Virginia, smoke slow or she will bite. Mild in flavor, nice room note.
Arango - Balkan Supreme
This is a great tobacco!! I smoked it out of a Markus Fohr hand made clay pipe from Old German Clay Pipes. Smells strong but smokes lighter than you would expect. Great room note and pairs well with dark red wine and parm/garlic meatballs.
Peter Stokkebye - PS9F French Vanilla
It does what it says. Smells slightly like French Vanilla in the bag. Kind of tastes like French vanilla I guess....smells good in the room. I wouldn't buy again but it was fun to try.
Sutliff - Z92 Vanilla Custard
Not bad, not complex. It does what it says it will do. Smells great and taste follows suit. Tastes like ash once you are halfway through your bowl.
Sutliff - Creme Brulee
Does what it says. Tastes great, smells great. Not a complex tobacco.
Mac Baren - Vanilla Cream
Vanilla? Where did you go?
It smell great in the bag, the char light smells great and tastes great. Then once you get half through your bowl its all gone. No more great taste and smell. Gone...just starts to taste like ash. Not a fan.
Mac Baren - Mixture Scottish Blend
I rated it 4 stars because this one will bite if you are not careful. Outside of that it smell complex in the tin and the taste is complex as well plus it has the added bonus of smelling great in the room. I recommend everyone smoke this at least once in their lives.
Lane Limited - RLP-6
Its a great smoke. You have to try hard to have it bite and smells and tastes great.
Lane Limited - BCA
Its great stuff for what it is. Its a one trick pony. That being said, it doesn't bite, it smells great and for its one dimensional taste, it taste good.
Cornell & Diehl - Maple Cavendish
Pretty good smoke. Smelled like maple in the bag, had a hint of maple in the air and in the mouth when smoked. I wouldn't buy it again but it wasn't terrible.
Cornell & Diehl - Espresso
Not for me
It does not smell like espresso in the bag, it does not taste like espresso or smell like it when smoked. It left a weird cigar taste in my mouth once I got halfway down the bowl. Not a fan. I am an aromatic smoker.
Cornell & Diehl - Dark Chocolate
Darn Nice, Surprised
This tobacco was a pleasant surprise for me. As far as matching up to what you expect, it delivers. It smells like chocolate in the bag, it burns well however I did have to let the bag sit open for 48 hours to get it to dry up. It came with so much moisture that there was literally water evaporating in the bag. After it dried it smoked great. It will never bite you tongue and smells of chocolate in the air and tastes of chocolate. It does what it says it will do.
Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Good Stuff, Not Great
Pretty good aromatic but it tends go flavorless halfway through the bowl for me.
Lane Limited - 1-Q
I have been smoking a pipe for a long time and have tried tons of tobaccos that span the range of the many genres. In my tobacco adventures I have always found myself just shy of fully satisfied, like a yearning for that tobacco that will fill the void of what is missing in me as a pipe smoker. 1-Q is simple. Light and simple sweet taste like a marshmallow, caramel and vanilla flavoring had a love child together. The result is 1-Q. Blends well with a Vanilla Coke on ice. The smell of 1-Q brings me back to the happy times I spent with grandpa when he smoked his pipe. This is the tobacco I started pipe smoking with and have now come full circle back to. This tobacco is my happy place. Happy Piping my friends! Find your blend.
