Lane Limited - RLP-6
Well...
In the 70s, 80s, and 90s I smoked Captain Black White, but found it bit too much. Then I found Chartwell at my local Tinderbox (they were in every mall back then). It was Capitan Black White, but with much less bite. But somewhere in the early 2000s, Chartwell suddenly changed. It wasn't nearly as sweet...and the guy behind the counter told me they were trying to get away from "aromatics." Really? The same name for that blend, but it's really not the same blend at all? Today's RLP-6 (which is Chartwell) is hazel-nutty, and gets a certain sweetness once I get to the middle of the bowl...but couldn't be a regular blend for me. HOWEVER...if I mix equal parts of RLP-6, 1Q, and BCA, I get a beautifully tasty, mild tobacco I can smoke all day. The 1Q contributes its sweetness, the RLP-6 contributes some complexity and nuttiness, and the BCA minimizes any chance of bite. I urge you to try it yourself...and let me know what you think!

I love this blend!
This blend is a tad finicky when you first light it up...but once it gets going it provides plenty of smoke, and it leaves the mouth feel of chocolate, and smells like delicious chocolate. This is definitely going to be a go-to tobacco for me.
