Nørding - Pointer 2oz
Straight Virginia Heaven
I usually don't go for straight Virginia, I like mine with Perique, especially C&Ds Perique. Being a Nording fan I had to try a tin along with Labrador which is now my number one VA/Per. Pointer is awesome, beautiful balance between the brights and reds, this will be a regular in my rotation. When i want a straight Virginia it will be this one. Is this dog "Old Toby" by chance? Well done Mr. Reeves!
Nørding - Labrador 2oz

I'm a Nording fan so when I found out the Hunter series was back but now reimagined with C&D at the helm I was more than a little excited. Labrador has fast become my new number one. They really knocked it out of the park with this one, everything I've come to expect from C&D and more. Hats off to Jeremy Reeves for his masterful blending and creating something special that truly honors my favorite pipe maker. Jeremy, if you're reading this.....8oz tins! Nudge-Nudge, Grin-Grin, Wink-Wink, say no more!
Peterson - Early Morning Pipe 50g
Gentle
A nice blend but a bit on the mild side for my taste, I prefer something a bit heavier in the morning.
Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Heavy
If you are new to Latakia you'll want to work up to this. Flavor is definitely on the heavy side. A very satisfying smoke but not what I would smoke before bed. I don't smoke alot of Latakia so when I do go for this I use a meershaum I have that has a small bowl.
Peterson - Standard Mixture 50g
Well Done
I don't smoke alot of Latakia blends but when I get that craving this is the one I usually reach for. Sweet, tangy and smoky and none trying to overpower the others. Great balance of flavors here. Ribbon cut packs, lights and burns very well.
Peterson - Elizabethan Mixture 50g
Solid
No nonsense, meat and po-ta-toes Va/Per. Ribbon cut packs and burns well and has a good balanced flavor. Can't go wrong with simple.
McConnell - Scottish Cake 50g
Great Blend
One of my favorites! I didn't take to this at first but it soon came to be in my top three and is now stockpiled in my cellar. If you're looking for a VA/Per with a little something extra this is a must try. It's great fresh and even better when aged a bit, the Kentucky really adds to the pot with that depth and richness! I do wish the 100g tins were available here in the US.
Orlik - Golden Sliced 100g
Always
Golden Sliced will always have that special place in my heart. It was the first tobacco I smoked that wasn't a plastic-pouched drug store aromatic and is the one that opened me up to the wide world of pipe tobaccos and truly enjoying smoking a pipe. I've tried many tobaccos over the years but Orlik has always been there in some measure. Golden Sliced has remained an always good, always satisfying, anytime smoke and always at a good price. If I only had Orlik to smoke the rest of my days it would not be an unhappy life.

Superior quality and a classic look, my grandad would've bought this to carry his Granger in. Holds more than enough tobacco for the day, especially if your go-to is a flake or coin. Love this pouch so much I'm purchasing a second one! Top notch kit!
A&C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Everyday....for now.
My all time favorite! Can't say enough great things about this tobacco that have not already been said by more eloquent folks than myself. Never out of my rotation, at least one bowl a day. That being said, I'm glad I stockpiled when it was more affordable, the price has, unfortunately, become to rich for my blood. When I open my last tin it will be a sad day.
Peterson - Flake 50g
Nice
Nice Virginia flake, definitely quality tobacco. All the standard Virginia descriptions apply, citrus, hay, bready, blah, etc. However, it's like hugging my sister. Sure, it's nice to hug my sister when we meet but it's nothing to get excited about. It's nice if you don't know what you want, you just want a smoke, i normally use this for breaking in a new pipe.
