Warped - The Red Hunt 2oz

A perfect blend! Complex and flavourful but not overpowering! Mildly sweet and sour. Perfection! I hope they can blend this again!!
Samuel Gawith - Squadron Leader Special Edition with Perique 50g
Nice balance!
Having tried the previous version of Squadron Leader and finding it to be too latakia forward I thought I would give this a try because it was said to be more following the original recipe. I really like this! The perique balances the latakia wonderfully offering a sweet but balanced and complex smoke! I admit I am not a huge latakia fan but I think that is because all the blends I have smoked have been dominated by the latakia and not at all balanced like this is. I hope this becomes the regular Squadron Leader again! It tops of the flight for sure!!

So Nice!
The tin note is amazing. Every time I sniff, even though it is much more complex, I think chocolate croissant! Rich and mature tasting with a real creamy sweetness. No tongue bite at all. I usually smoke VaPers and non aromatics but this is a real treat. This is what an aromatic should be like! I hope they make this blend again in the future. It’s a winner!
Erinmore - Erinmore Mixture 100g
Takes time. Second time is the charm.
I bought this last year and when I popped the tin and tried a bowl I was overwhelmed by the flavour, in a bad way. I can understand some of the low reviews here. So I relegated it to a mason jar and forgot about it. Yesterday I thought I'd give it a second try and I was pleasantly surprised buy how my opinion has changed. I has a sweet fruity flavour with a floral component that is quite pleasant. It does leave a light sweet flavour in your mouth but it is not chemically. If you are not used to a aromatic blend this may be too much for you. It does have a unique flavour. I'm wondering if the year in my jar helped the blend , possibly.
Cornell & Diehl - Blockade Runner 2oz
Back in time!
I was unimpressed with the blend when I first tried it. I was rushing around and it got harsh really fast. But like the time period the blend was crafted to be from requires a slower cadence. Keep this blend cool in your pipe and it really shines! This is definitely a blend that is for sitting and relaxing with a slow pipe, like sitting on the fantail deck of a old side wheeler! My second impression of this blend is I love it! It just can’t be rushed!
