Really good burley
This is a go to burley even for those who don’t like burley. Has a taste that reminds me of roasting marshmallows on a campfire.

Cuts the BS, gets right to the point.
As they say if it isn’t broke than don’t fix it. The makers of Carter Hall have stayed true to that saying for years. No reason to change it now.

Wonderful when smoked properly
Like many Virginia flakes, there is a process to get the most out of it. If sipped slowly and properly you will be rewarded with a great tobacco. This is one I will keep for years.
Ashton - Guilty Pleasure 50g
Great aroma out of the tin.
This is not one of my favorites, but it’s not horrible either. Tends to burn hot and goopy. Will give it another try though.

It’s really good!
This was one of the first tobaccos that I purchased at a local brick and mortar. From now on, any further purchase of plum pudding will be right here on this site. This is a really flavorful tobacco and one that I seem to go back to quite often.

Not bad at all.
This is a decent and cheap pouch tobacco. Honestly one of the better otc blends out there. Plus it’s a good price.

Really good dessert tobacco
The tin more is very strong and you can really smell the maple and caramel. My wife absolutely loves when I smoke this. The taste is really good too and not as sickly as you may think. I really like it.

Good bang for your buck
Really good pouch tobacco. Not the most intricate it a solid all day English. When it’s available you can’t go wrong with the price here on this site.

The plus side is if you by this blend off of smoking pipes it’s at least cheap.
Borkum Riff - Bourbon Whiskey 1.5oz

This may be fine for cheap otc, but this one just wasn’t for me.
Sutliff - Cinnamon Delight
I really like it!
First off the smell is delicious, and it burns well, no bite, and the cinnamon is flavorful and soft. A great aromatic that my entire family enjoys the smell off, and I enjoy the taste!
CAO - Eileen's Dream 50g
Very delicious and unique
I came across Eileens Dream on the muttonchop piper’s YouTube page. He highly recommended it and so do I! It’s delicious and the wife loves the smell!

A well balanced tobacco
I really hope Peterson will bring this blend back in the “Dunhill” lineup. Always enjoyed it as a mid afternoon smoke. Quite enjoyable.
Peterson - Nightcap 50g
Enjoy on a full stomach
I was apprehensive at first about smoking nightcap with all the reviews that it will knock you on your butt, but I have to say that I’m this is a fantastic smoke. I would recommend smoking it on a full stomach and you will sleep like a baby!
Peterson - Early Morning Pipe 50g
Enjoy this with a nice coffee
As the name states, EMP should be enjoyed in the early morning with a nice strong cup of coffee. Do this and you will have a lovely day!
Peterson - Elizabethan Mixture 50g
A very rewarding blend
Elizabethan is one of the finest pipe tobaccos ever blended. Many beginner pipe smokers have trouble with Virginia or Va-pers, but if dipped properly, you will be rewarded with the full pleasure provided.
Bengal Slices - Bengal Slices 1.75oz
Lovely!
I love the floral spicy ness of this blend. This along with Fusiliers Ration are two of my favorite oriental blends.

A worthy blend for anyone’s collection.
This is a very intriguing tobacco. I’m letting it age in the cellar as this is one blend that I plan to enjoy for years to come.
Peter Stokkebye - PS24 Nougat
Delicious!
Tastes like your smoking a candy bar. This was the pipe tobacco that was provided to the cast of Lord of the Rings. They loved it and so will you.
Sutliff - Great Outdoors 1.5oz
It’s okay
Well the tin more is probably the coolest part about this blend. To me it reminds me of root beer. The tobacco itself burns well and if sipped slowly you will get the nutty taste of the burley with a bit of the topping. It’s overall just average and something I will smoke from time to time.
Orlik - Dark Strong Kentucky 50g
Well worth it
Very tasty and has a wonderful presentation. I really enjoy the molasses and licorice flavors. It’s a definite keeper.

This is a great addition to your collection and rotation if you want a premium Va-per.
Capstan - Ready Rubbed Blue 1.75oz
A true Virginia for the true pipe smoker!
Lore has it that this was J.R.R. Tolkien’s go to tobacco and one can see why! Notes of hay and citrus dance around this blend. Easy to pack and easy to light, you may just find yourself loading up a bowl of capstan and writing your own epic fantasy novel!

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired 1.75oz
An exceptional tobacco!
Mac Baren Old Dark Fired is a delicious and beautifully hot pressed flake. The tin note reminds me of a sweet and tangy bbq sauce. The taste is amplified with those barbecue notes shining through. Will definitely keep this in my rotation!
Presbyterian - Presbyterian 50g
Excellent All Day English!
Presbyterian is a wonderful English blend. Great for new comers to the art of pipe smoking or the novice life long puffer. Will securely keep this in my rotation!
