Mac Baren - Original Choice 16oz
Works for Veteran Smokers
This is a great aromatic blend that has a great taste and is consistent every bowl full. The taste is one of vanilla, caramel, and sweet. Not too much though. The nicotine hit is noticeable and high if pushing. My tastes have traveled away from aromatics in my pipe smoking journey and usually prefer Burleys and VAPers. I have a bunch of English that I don't smoke anymore along with the aromatics, but this, wow ever since the first time I tried I loved it. Not chemical like other aromatics but pleasing and sweeter than my norm with a kick. Try it.

Cornell & Diehl - Poplar Camp
Very Good Va/Per Blend
This is great and can't believe I've smoked nearly 5 years without hearing about this blend. This is very tasty and strong in flavor like Bayou Morning which is also great. I'll continue to buy this in bulk and enjoy it. Try it if you like strong Virginia / Perique blends.

Cornell & Diehl - Stratfordshire
Stratfordshire is a very good English blend
The rough cut of this blend allows one to taste each leaf better making for a more flavorful experience. It is very similar to SPC Potlatch this just not having the perique. For a bulk English blend this is terrific.

Cornell & Diehl - Rajah's Court 2oz
Rajah's Court is a great blend
This is a very good English blend with noticeable flavor from the Orientals. Just what I was looking for and will get some more. Anyone who enjoys an English will like this one too.

Cornell & Diehl - Rajah's Court 2oz
Just like Esoterica Margate
I didn't like Esoterica Margate at first but didn't understand the flavors as being from Oriental tobacco. I started trying more Oriental based/containing blends and really like them. Once I tried Rajah's Court I am hooked. I love the flavor profile as the tobaccos go well together. Yes it is an English with all the usual flavors but this is more of the incense-like flavor that others compare it to. Makes for a light to medium flavor, light on smoke, and no nic-hit. I enjoy other English and Balkan blends but this is my newest favorite and will definitely get more. It has the same components as Margate and tastes the same to me. So if you like the Esoterica blend this would be a perfect substitute. Enjoy!

Seattle Pipe Club - Potlatch 2oz
So sublime
This is amazing tobacco! The flavor is great with only tobacco, and keeps changing in the mouth. The reason for the changes is the size of the cut. You taste mostly one leaf at a time with others around it because it is so large. I love it and find myself puffing harder and harder to taste more and more! I really enjoy it and have NEVER been disappointed in it or its flavors. This was my first encounter with Seattle Pipe Club and I'd like to try more if they are like this!

Cornell & Diehl - Big 'n' Burley 2oz
Good stuff
This is not an introduction to English, but a real good burley blend. Has a light flavor which is complex and enjoyable. I would recommend if you like burley based tobacco blends.

Arango - Balkan Supreme
So Good
I like a variety of tobaccos but usually smoke aromatics, VaPers, and OTC. But this stuff is good. When I first smelled the tin note I thought "wow, that's a lot of smokey smell" and stored it for a few months. Opened it again and it was still a strong smokey smell. Decided to light it up and try and boy is it good! So creamy, nice blooms of tasty smoke, burns real cool, and did I mention it tastes good? I wouldn't smoke it everyday because I feel it is best to smoke when sitting and relaxing, which I barely do. I don't think there is a lot of flavors but consistent and delicious. I would highly recommend.

Arango - Balkan Supreme
Thought I wouldn't like but did
The smell when I received this was strong smoke smell and was put off, jarred for a year and have now opened and still has the same smell. Lit it up and was like WOW! Good stuff, smokey, creamy, like fresh brewed coffee. Aroma is slightly pleasant but is just so pleasing to me. I like all types of tobacco but not English blends as much. This has hit the creamy spot that is just good. Get some.

Carter Hall - Carter Hall 1.5oz Pouch
Ever pleasing
My first tobacco I've tried and after trying many other blends and some OTC as well this one is still good. Great for smoking around the house. Doesn't take much work, just tamp once in a while, maybe a relight, burns down clean with a great flavor. Most of the topping is burnt away by bottom of bowl, but I like the tobacco flavor by itself too. I have smoked two pouches and will probably get more once I burn through some others. I definitely like this better than Captain Black Original. Keep piping!

Peter Stokkebye - PS41 Cube Cut
Some highs and lows
I like Burley blends and tried this one shortly after receiving it. However, it was too much work to rub out so just lit it as is. Took a lot of finesse to keep it going didn't provide much flavor. Jarred it for about 9 months now and decided to try again. It tastes ok, especially at the beginning of the bowl but by the 75% done mark the flavors go away until about 90% finished. Very mild with touches of sweetness from time to time. The topping smell REALLY showed up after storing whereas I couldn't smell it at all to begin with. After aging in the jar it smells lightly sweet with a touch of fruit like citrus. Smoking it you only get that citrus flavor sense maybe twice a bowl. I've tried it as cubes and rubbing it out and either way burns slow, nothing fancy, decent taste when you get some, and cool burning. I will not be ordering again since there are better Burleys out there and this is too much work for what you get. I add it now to my aromatics since it allows for a longer smoke. Pipe on!

Sutliff - Creme Brulee
Good and sweet
First off, I don't just stick with only one tobacco but like trying different types and cycling through them when they aren't as pleasing and want a change. I have about 20 non-aromatics and 10 different aromatics but this one is consistent, tasty, and sweet. The aroma and taste are both of crème brulee and real good throughout the smoke. I'll order this one again for sure.

Planta - Anno MMXIII (California Dream)
Good tobacco but misleading
Where's the orange flavor? Well like the last review stated, there is some acidity there which leaves you believing there is some orange rind in it but barely. Try it but don't expect any orange.

Grand Croupier - Double Down
Nice blend
When I first tried this blend, it was good but couldn't keep lit. So I cellared it for 3 months and tried again after the frustration was gone. My mix burns quickly, has abundant smoke, room note is between pleasant and tolerable, has med/high nic hit, and finally tried again. Must be kept packed tight to burn with tamping often. Flavor was great and a nice break from aromatics and the natural Dutch Cavendish I smoked right before this one. Perfect for this fall, and tonight I will fill the bowl halfway because of the nic hit! I want to try the other blends now from Grand Croupier.

Peter Stokkebye - PS400 Luxury Navy Flake
Agreed
I agree with the previous reviews. This is only my 5th tobacco I have tried (started smoking a pipe about a month ago) and this is very nice, mild flavor with hints of sweetness from time to time, aroma is right in the middle for by-standers and it burned real well. Update: Seven months later and 30 more tobaccos tried this one is still great and burns down to the bottom every time.

Tampers & Tools - Czech Pipe Tool
Just ordered a back up
Very easy to use and knew it would be a good idea to have a back-up since it is small and I smoke while walking outside so I don't want to be without one!
