War Horse - Bar 1.75oz
Better than a plug
This is one heck of a tobacco! A powerhouse on the flavor and aroma side of things, but I don't find it to be as nicotine heavy as others have. A european style aromatic with notes of tonquin, valerian root, and what I think is bergamot. Unique to be sure. Crumble cake form is super easy to prepare and is ready to go right upon opening. A little drying doesn't hurt though. I wish all tobacco would burn as well as this does. Excellent stuff.

Tsuge - "Raijin" God of Thunder 50g
A favorite of mine
A brilliant mix of sour and spice. Lots of creamy, flavorful smoke. Tingles in the nose and palate in all the right ways.

Orlik - Dark Strong Kentucky 50g
Beautiful flake presentation with a stripe of golden Virginia down the middle. Lovely aroma and flavor of stewed fruit. I only wish it had a bit more spice to it. Otherwise, easy to prepare and, if dried accordingly, smokes well. If not dried it tends to be steamy.

Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Everyday flake
The only flake that I can fold and stuff without a gigantic hassle. On top of that the flavor is darn good too! I have never really detected any perique in this, but maybe it's there. I mainly get a straight forward sweet, grassy virginia. Uncomplicated and satisfying.

Mac Baren - HH Old Dark Fired 16oz
Just excellent.
I put off getting any of this one for a while. I've been burned by the hype bug before. In this instance I regret that decision. Everything from the deep, spicy flavor to the perfectly cut flakes is of amazing quality. I can't get enough of it. If you haven't tried it yet you really should. It's every bit as good as people say.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton on the Town 50g
Oriental heavy.
Wonderful sour notes from the oriental leaf are what dominate this blend. The latakia is playing rhythm here. You know it's there, but it never throws its weight around. High quality tobacco with a good balance and mild/medium flavor.

McClelland - Personal Reserve: Blackwoods Flake 50g
What can I say?
My favorite Virginia hands down. Grass and hay at the fore with a lovely citrus tang shining through. Takes a bit of preparation and drying to make it smoke well, but when the flavors are this good who cares.

Dunhill - Elizabethan Mixture 50g
I seem to go through this stuff at an alarming rate. I just love it. Sweet and spicy in excellent balance. One of the few tobaccos that I can smoke daily and always feel satisfied with. I will truly miss it when it is gone.
