Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Kendal Gold
Decent smoke
Broke out the cob for this one. It pairs nicely with it. Kind of hard to pack as it is very stringy and it will burn very hot and quick. Note is ok as well as taste. It is very smooth and easy smoke it’s more of a I just want to smoke but don’t want much flavor kinda deal. Like a low end cigar but a little sweeter. All in all not bad but won’t be in the rotation as i typically prefer English blends but this is a decent change of pace.

Filters & Adaptors - Butz-Choquin 9mm Filters (40 Pack)
Great filter
Does what it’s supposed to. Has a slightly less restricted draw than others I’ve tried.

G. L. Pease - Quiet Nights 2oz
Better than nightcap
I usually like lighter English blends however this one has changed my mind a bit. It is a very deep and complex blend with a lot of flavor. It is strong but not in a bad way. It’s like a fine wine, it’s not for everyone, it’s made to be sipped and tasted slowly, it is complex and experienced smokers will enjoy it more I feel. There are just notes and tastes that are better deciphered by palates that are used to stronger English blends. But at the same time can still be enjoyed by an inexperienced smoker. This one is worth a try.

Peter Stokkebye - PS52 Proper English
Good balance
Solid English blend. Has a very good balance of quality tobaccos. Smokes well. Very smooth. I really like this however I slightly prefer the taste of their English luxury to this one.

Cult - Blood Red Moon 50g
Smooth with a great note
very light and smooth but fulfilling smoke. Could smoke this all day on any occasion. Tin note smells like sweet cherries and the room note is amazing. Smokes cool and smooth with no bite even if smoked quicker than normal, which is hard not to do due to the outstanding flavor. Best if dried for 15-20 minutes but even fresh out of the tin required few re lights. The cherry hits you right away and about halfway through the chocolate starts to reveal itself a little more. This is an excellent aromatic and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

Tampers & Tools - Czech Pipe Tool
Quality
Very sturdy and does the job. Upon ordering I was expecting it to be cheaply made and not last very long. So far just the opposite is true I have had it 5 months and it has held up wonderfully

Stands & Pouches - Economy Folding Pipe Stand
Can’t beat it for the money
Cheap yet sturdy. Does the job and does it well couldn’t ask for more for the price.

Sutliff - Z92 Vanilla Custard
Greatness
Excellent tin note, the vanilla can be smelled across the room. The room note is excellent as well. Lights easy and smokes very cool. Smokes dry and smooth with little to no bite.

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Excellent quality
Excellent quality tobacco I normally tend to favor English blends but this is very good. The perique is a little strong for my taste but isn’t too overwhelming. I can see where this would be a great one to put in the cellar for a while as it seems it would be much better with a little aging.

Filters & Adaptors - Vauen Filters (100 pack)
Tough draw
Filter does what it should slightly tough draw but decent filter

Newminster - No.23 Blackberry Brandy 2 oz
Good stuff
Great flavor. Sweet but not too sweet. You can smell and taste the blackberry and a hint of brandy. As good as any tin or room note I’ve smelled even the wife doesn’t mind this one.

Dunhill - Nightcap
Too strong for me
Smokes well but a bit too strong for my taste. Tobacco is good quality and I can see where some would enjoy it but I prefer a bit lighter of an English blend.

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Rich Dark Honeydew
Not for me
Honeydew sounded good so I figured I’d give it a try. Smells weird when opened almost like flavored soap. Pack wells and burns ok after a little drying. Have to watch this one gets hot quick and bites hard. It has a distinct weird almost sweet soapy taste that I didn’t care for. It also will ghost the pipe. It may be ok for some and the tobacco in it is quality the flavor is just not for me. It seems inconsistent some puffs taste like a sweet honey flavor and some like soap. Has a bad aftertaste like soap and ash.

McClelland - Holiday Spirit 2017 50g
Wonderful for a cold day
Great cocoa flavor with a hint of rum. Lights easy and stays lit. Will get hot and bite a bit if smoked to quickly. Smokes almost down to the bottom.

Mac Baren - Plumcake 3.5oz
Ok
I bought this because of the great reviews. I don’t usually smoke Mac Baren tobaccos and have disliked most of the ones I’ve tried. Like all the ones I have tried it burns very hot even when smoked slow, bites, and seems like it’s missing something. Mild flavor and easy to light. Burns well but as far as English blends go this one lacks complexity. There are so many great English blends out there to chose from I would not limit myself to thinking this was a good one.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Regular 3.5oz
Decent
Has a great room note. Needs a bit of drying and will burn hot and bite if not smoked very slowly like most Mac Baren blends. Requires a few re lights. Not perfect but a solid smoke.

McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
Excellent
The Latakia isn’t overwhelming like some English blends. no bite and great taste. Has a bit of a sweet flavor to it and burns slow and cool. Great for an all day or evening smoke and the whiskey stave cube is a wonderful touch.

Lane Limited - 1-Q
One of the best!
Great flavor, Little to no bite and smokes cool. One of the best aromatics out there. Very easy to light and keep lit.

Mac Baren - Vanilla Flake 1.75oz
Burns hot
Burns hot and bites even when dried and smoked slow. Had a good room note but not a great taste. There are many better options out there for a decent aromatic. It came very dry in the tin and broke into very fine pieces. Probably the worst tasting tobacco I’ve tried. I smoked it twice and tossed it. Try sutliffs vanilla custard instead if you want a great vanilla
