Larsen - Signature: Vintage Mixture 100g
A favorite for sure
Excellent in every way. Definitely one of the top tobaccos that everybody should try.
Cornell & Diehl - Autumn Evening
Autumn Evening is one of those blends that I enjoy but not all the time. The flavor and aroma are great, maple and caramel are definitely present and the smokiness is almost in the background. To me, this is a certain kind of moment blend that is very pleasant. I just have to figure out when that moment is. Good blend.
Cornell & Diehl - White Burley
Nice mellow flavor, easy to smoke. It was ready to smoke fresh from the mailbox. White Burley is actually the softest feeling tobacco I've ever touched. I know that doesn't matter much but I'm not kidding, it is almost silky. I enjoyed this one.
McClelland - 100 - Tropical
One of the few fruit blends that got it right. Tropical tastes and smells great, definitely adding to my favorites list. Out of the pouch it bites, needs drying time. There is nothing off putting though, just a nice easy tropical blend.
Peter Stokkebye - Natural Dutch Cavendish
I like this blend, it has a natural flavor with a little sweetness and a little spice. It's not something that is overpowering, just an easy smoke with minimal bite. Occasionally I'll need 1 relight but usually not. Very well done!
Smokingpipes Gear - Smokingpipes Coffee Mug (Black)
My new favorite cup
Everything about this coffee cup is great. I'll buy another in a heartbeat if mine breaks.
Smokingpipes Gear - Smokingpipes Logo Button
Nice little button!
I'm happy with the button. I figured this is a good way to support and promote Smokingpipes. I epoxied the button to my tool cabinet at work so everyone sees it.
Books - The Pipeman's Daily Fare
I'm not a poetry person but I couldn't resist this book. It turned out to be really fun and relaxing to read. Occasionally I'll read a poem at the start of my lunch break and spend a half hour thinking about it while I eat. A great way to pass the time, very relatable to everyday life and does not require a love of poetry to enjoy. The price is great also.
Cornell & Diehl - Founding Fathers
Founding Fathers is an easy to smoke blend that isn't harsh, just a hint of sweet fruit and pleasant aroma. It doesn't smoke thick or overpowering like many aromatics I've tried, it's much better in my opinion. A new favorite to add to the list.
Sillem's - Linea Epoque Antique 3.5oz
Very nice blend! Nothing offensive or overdone. The aroma is great, taste is pretty good, and one of the easiest aromatics to smoke that I've tried, it doesn't get goopy and is ready pretty much when the tin is peeled open. Definitely worth trying, even though it's a big can to buy. This blend is worth it.
Peter Stokkebye - Norwegian Blend
My new favorite shag cut. It is a relatively simple blend, nothing crazy, but it tastes great and has a nice aroma. Very well done blend, I will definitely order more. I should add that I occasionally roll this with filtered tubes when I feel like a cigarette and it's much better than anything store bought.
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Kendal Gold
Nice and smooth
This is nice when I want something mellow and unflavored. It tastes okay and was easy to light.
Sutliff - 500 African Queen
Nice after storing
Originally this seemed average to me but after storing it for a couple months it turned out to be pretty good. It's sweet and smells great. There was no issue with gurgling or staying lit, overall very pleasant. A new favorite for me.
Peter Stokkebye - English Luxury
Nice blend, it tastes great and smokes well. I bought bulk and it was pretty close to the right moisture level when I got it. I would definitely order more.
Sutliff - 504C Aromatic English
To me this is a nice english that occasionally seems aromatic. It's my first time trying this kind of blend and it was great. It was a bit temperamental for me, kind of damp towards the end of every bowl, but not as bad as most aromatic only blends. Sutliff has a pretty good product here if you like aromatic english. Not too strong and not too sweet smelling, good balance.
Mac Baren - 7 Seas Regular
Great flavor, smokes well. I liked it.
Peter Stokkebye - Amsterdam
A strong, spicy blend. Tasted good, smelled good. This blend seemed to go well with my coffee. Very nice!
Cornell & Diehl - Mountain Camp
Strong, definitely something I'd puff on while working outdoors. Not everyday, but once in a while. It reminds me of a stronger Old Professor with a different kind of nice and nasty aroma and flavor.
Sutliff - Aged Maduro Cavendish
Not bad, not a favorite though. Pretty tame all around.
Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - North Star
Took a chance and ordered some of this. It's great, glad I did. Decent strength, burns well and has decent taste. Nothing unpleasant!
Pipe Tools & Supplies - Rubber Pipe Bits (2 pack)
Easier on the teeth. I use them when I'm driving.
Pipe Tools & Supplies - 8deco Premium Shank Brush
It works well, does it's job. The twisted wire end is pointy so if you're concerned about scratches take care. The one I received doesn't have the black tip that looks vinyl, but I ordered it a while ago.
Peter Stokkebye - Luxury Twist Flake
Nice and smooth
This is a nice occasional smoke. It's easy to prepare, smokes well, and has great flavor. It's stronger than my regular choices so I don't smoke it all the time. Tastes great though, one of the more pleasant ones I've tried in a while.
Lane Limited - RLP-6
It's good, I like Lane Limited a lot but this blend just leaves me wanting something more. It's not quite as good as 1Q or McClelland TQ as previously said by others. Definitely not a bad choice though, just my preference.
Sutliff - 526 - Old Professor
I was skeptical but now I'm thrilled I tried it. It's a nice break from a more tame everyday blend. Good strength and flavor. The wife doesn't mind the smell either.
McClelland - TQ - Top Quality Gold & Toasted
My new favorite
I love this, there's no complaint I can think of. Smells, tastes and smokes great. It's my new everyday smoke.
Sutliff - 150 Mark Twain
It has enough flavor to keep me puffing on it, not too much smell to make me want to put it out. Nice easy going smoke.
E. Hoffman Company - Spilman Mixture 2.5oz
Very distinctive latakia. I'm not used to it but it wasn't bad. I like the blend overall, wouldn't be an everyday smoke though.
A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
Great taste, smokes slow for me. Smells good too. I let it dry a bit, then packed a smaller pipe.
Cornell & Diehl - Black Frigate 2oz
Great flavor, nice and strong, love it.
Lane Limited - Crown Achievement 1.75oz
This is a great blend, smoked well and had good taste. I'll definitely buy more.
Captain Black - Cherry 1.5oz
First, it's not my particular favorite but there's nothing wrong with it. Captain Black is good stuff and you can't go wrong. I wasn't crazy about the fact that I could taste it more than smell it.
Dunhill - Nightcap
I only smoke this later in the day after I eat, its not too mellow. Smells and tastes good, and stays lit well. Good to have when the mood hits.
Sutliff - Molto Dolce 1.5oz
Great flavor and aroma, but soaking wet in the can. I'd order again but it takes time to dry.
Sir Walter Raleigh - Aromatic 1.5oz
There wasn't much standing out with this pouch. Very mild in every sense.
Lane Limited - 1-Q
Decent for everyday use.
Nothing bad to say about this. There's not as much flavor or aroma as I'd like but it's worth trying. Edit: After trying only this for 3 days it's grown on me. I was mowing the lawn today at work and with the wind blowing it had great flavor! The pipe was burning hotter than normal, maybe that's something for me to work on. Worth buying more, for sure.
Hearth & Home - WhiteKnight 1.75oz
I like this as an occasional break from my usual. It's not overpowering and has a decent taste. I was able to smoke it not too long after opening the tin. I'd buy it again.
Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
This is a great everyday tobacco. It's smooth, great aroma that keeps those around me happy, and a bit of flavor. Original is my favorite of the Captain Black brand.
