Tobacco Jars - PocketJar Smokingpipes.com Black
Good idea, really sharp edges
Good idea, good tool, but be careful of the very sharp edge on the metal lid. Holy cow, sliced my thumb trying to clean tobacco bits out of the lid seal. Just like a razor - bad cut.

Lighters - Kiribi Kabuto Mizo Silver
Good quality, but
Have had for two years as my only pipe lighter using for 5-7 bowls per week. Works great. Does not like to be dropped - the top came off and I was able to reattach with epoxy. Later the "kabuto" hinge ceased to keep the "lid" down on the burner close enough and gas can leak out. Overall a very nice lighter. UPDATE: Removing the screw that holds the Kabuto "flip top" I was able to clean the "high tech" hinge. The "flip top" now holds down the burner better than before. Not sure if the soot or just the tinkering fixed.

Nicotine And Pipe Tobacco Blending
- ► Chuck - thanks for the excellent article. I had not considered the flavor impact (perceived) of nicotine. My first 1792 attempt was similar to yours, but after further attempts after eating using a small pipe, it was tolerable.
Doting On Dottle: Advice On Smoking To The Bottom Of The Bowl- ► Chuck - belated congrats on an extremely excellent article. Greatly appreciate your writing and humor as well as the especially quality knowledge sharing. Would be good to have article on breaking in non-coated pipes (Castello, Cavicchi, etc.)
