G. L. Pease - Navigator 2oz
Meh
Not a lot going on here. The dark fired and virginia taste mild, like burnt steak. I'm a fan of Odyssey and Haddo's Delight, but this blend just isn't doing it for me. It burns okay, has a good moisture content from tin. But rather than being smokey and sweet, it has just a burnt flavor to me, even when sipped.

Warped - The Haunting 2oz
Room for both.
First off, I taste the leathery cigar leaf but it doesn't overpower the sweetness of the virginia leaf. There is a lot going on here in terms of complexity and I'm glad they didn't add anything more to it. I've smoked a few different blends that incorporate cigar leaf but none seem to have done it as well as this. It's a nice change of pace from the typical blends out there.

Cornell & Diehl - Visions of Celephaïs 2oz
Grapey
I don't typically smoke aromatic blends but this one caught my interest as I've enjoyed all the other blends in this series (especially Dreams Of Kadath). I can taste the clove from the kasturi but what I really pick up is heavy grape must flavor. I think this smokes best in a smaller bowl and would work better as a dessert type smoke. Great job, Cornell & Diehl.

Rich & complex
WOW! What a complex and rich tobacco. The flavor evolves as you work your way through the bowl. The katerini oriental in it is so good! Can't wait to try others in this serious. I would highly recommend.
