Tampers & Tools - Pipe Nail
Pocket friendly METAL tamper!
First off this tamper is metal, not plastic as another reviewer mentioned. It’s the perfect size for the pocket and the square shape doesn’t bother me one bit, just rotate to tamp all edges of the round pipe chamber. Really better than a Czech tool in my opinion.

Missouri Meerschaum - Let Freedom Ring Rob Roy Bent (6mm)
Very unique!
I purchased both to smoke while taking my daughter for a walk in her stroller daily as I constantly drop my Grabows picking up her toys etc and these are so lightweight and cheap! Love the dark stain, the danish bits that are wider and the unfinished surface smokes very cool! For $7 what more could you ask for?

Sutliff - Spiced Rum
Flavor with aroma the wife loves
Burley and black cavendish with a not too sweet flavoring. Tastes much like Wilke Rum Cake or rum raisin ice cream. Love this stuff and have for years!

Sutliff - Flying Dutchman Match
Light aromatic burley blend
A very nice light aromatic burley mix. Smokes cool and down to white ash. A whiff of vanilla and anise that makes the room note pleasant. I really like this one and plan to stock up soon once my 4 ounces is finished.

Cornell & Diehl - Crooner
Very bold burley with vanilla room note
Kinda harsh by itself but add some unflavored cavendish or a pinch of sweet Virginia and it smooths out the hot burley. Love the Deertongue / Burley aroma and med-high strength. Just needs a filler of mild leaf added IMHO

Cornell & Diehl - U.S.S. Mason 2oz
A more mild Haddo’s
Very similar if not identical topping to HD by Pease. I like this blend much more than HD due to less Perique... otherwise tons of flavor, a great room note and some strength but not enough to bowl you over.

Arango - Balkan Supreme
Top shelf Balkan at bottom shelf prices
Wow! I know this is really PS Balkan but at the price it’s sold at it’s quite the bargain!! Sour, slightly sweet, Smokey, it has it all!!

Kramer's - Father Dempsey 50g
Elegant vintage English blend
From the Hollywood heyday when pope smoking was very common. Medium English blend that must be tried once as its unlike anything I have smoked. Mild to mediun and a gentle room note (for an English blend)

Cornell & Diehl - Chopped Cigar Leaf 2oz
Amish Country Sweet Shade Grown
If you, like me, love Storm Front by John Patton can make a 99% clone at home. 2oz Cigar leaf, 2 pouches of Prince Albert, 2 pouches of Carter Hall and 2 of Sir Walter. Let meld for couple weeks and dry..

Cornell & Diehl - Crooner
True tobacco flavor with a lady pleasing roomnote
Just got another 8oz... a little too heady by itself, i add a 1.75oz pouch of Captain Black Gold to mellow it out...

Captain Black - Original 1.5oz
Mild, lady pleasing aroma!
My least favorite of the CB blends bc of the slight fruit aroma and taste. Very sweet and aromatic, good for beginners...

Captain Black - Dark 1.5oz
Mild, lady pleasing aroma!
Too mild by itself but mixed 50/50 with CB Gold makes a 1Q to die for! Tastier than BCA though, lovely!

Captain Black - Gold 1.5oz
Mild, lady pleasing aroma!
Aroma and taste are of vanilla yogurt. Too mild on its own but mix a pouch 50/50 with a pouch of CB Dark and you have a 1Q to die for!! CB Royal is my second favorite.

Dan Tobacco - Holmer Knudsen's 50g
Mild, lady pleasing aroma!
More flavor than 1Q or CB Royal since it has the addition of burley but still very mild and an all day smoke. Don't let the cream candy scare you, its a 1Q type vanilla caramel topping that's very light... Love it!

Captain Black - Premium Edition Midnight Gold 1.75oz
Why did it take me so long?
Better quality leaf with a mild topping form the base of Midnight Gold. No bite and has the classic aromatic mix of Black Cavendish and Burley. I do not find it over the top sweet but rich and satisfying. Great with some coffee and a good choice for being out and about since the passerby will not be offended by the aroma...

Gawith Hoggarth & Co. - Brown Flake Vanilla
Solid semi aromatic flake
I ordered 4 ozs to start and then ordered 8ozs to cellar. If you like the medium flavor profile of a brown flake and dont mind a hint of lakeland with your vanilla then you should really enjoy this. Dry out for 15 min and rub out for best burn.

Sutliff - Pumpkin Spice
Not my favorite
I really thought this would be my holy grail but there is something that doesn't agree with me, i think its a mint or menthol... I do like the tobacco itself just not the topping, smells good and smokes glacially cool but not for me....

Arango - Balkan Supreme
Sour Smoky Balkan!!
The best bargain in pipe tobacco at the moment. At $33 a pound with the sale this is a no brainer. Very sour orientals, sweet Virginia & black cav and some turkish to liven things up! If you enjoy Sasieni or PS Balkan then this should be right up your alley...

Kramer's - New Mix
Very Vegas
Reminds me of a special place in Vegas: vintage, quiet, hidden, bar... tender in a tuxedo shirt and vest. If one of the Rat Pack had walked in, I would not have been surprised. An... d if they had, they would have been smoking Kramer's New Mix. The Red Bar smelled exactly like this blend's room note.

Sutliff - Ready Rubbed Match
Cool,Chunky,Smooth!
Forget whether or not this is your 1970's Edgeworth... Ready Rubbed is a cool smoking, oat like, cocoa /molasses delicious blend of cubed burley. Dry it out until you think its dry enough, then dry it out another hour or two. The key to flavor and easy burn is to dry it until you think its going to turn to dust, it wont, until you do this it will be flavorless and hard to keep lit.

Granger - Granger 12oz
A solid, inexpensive and Tasty Burley
At under $2 an ounce, Granger is a great Summer and Fall companion in a Cob. I really like the Rough Cut which is in between Prince Albert and Sir Walter which for me means it burns easily but also cool. While I do slightly prefer PA's Cocoa topping, Granger's plummy taste and aroma will please even the most discriminating Burley guy or gal. Brings back memories of Grandpa stuffing a pipe and mixes very well 50/50 with any ribbon Virginia or Black Cavendish!

McClelland - GKCPC: Chocolate Silk 50g
Silky Indeed!
WOW! How else can i properly explain my enjoyment in opening a fresh tin? Melted Hershey Bar in a tin! Seriously one of if not the best smelling blend i have ever had the pleasure of smoking and i consider myself a connoisseur. Very mild black and lemon leaf, no nicotine but tasty and smells amazing!

McClelland - Craftsbury: Virginia Woods 100g
Perfect Autumn Smoke!
Virginia's normally bite me and therefore i stick to Burley's but Virginia Woods having a mixture of several types of Virginia leaf really lets the woodsy, sweet slightly smokey taste and aroma shine without bite. My favorite tin art and my favorite McClelland blend especially in the cooler months. A great Virginia blend for newbies since it is very forgiving and for Veterans with perfect techniques it offers tons of flavors!!

Cornell & Diehl - Haunted Bookshop
This Bookshop is Delicious!
Marketers take note: anything with Haunted, Autumn, spooky etc. grabs my interest...I have been smoking Prince Albert daily for years and love the flavor but i am needing more nicotine. HB fills that niche very nicely, tons of flavor, more than medium nicotine hit and inexpensive in bulk (especially with Smoking Pipes 20% off sale). HB actually smells like a musty book shop and is essentially a Burley blend but with small amounts of condiments that add a little spice and sweetness. Lovely Blend!

Butera - Royal Vintage: Golden Cake 50g
Citrus, sweet, Gold in a bowl....
Tin aroma is typical McClelland with citrus notes. Lemon Virginia when un toasted and left in its mostly original state gives extreme sweetness, very high notes and a fine citrus taste like a Chinese sweet & sour chicken sauce almost. Unnoticeable room note which is neither pleasant or offensive, it's just there, and is also very thin not thick with body like a black Cavendish. A fine summertime smoke that's very refreshing when it is 115* outside, basically the complete opposite of say Nightcap which is one of my favorite wintertime smokes. Very unique Golden Flake that must be tried, not many make an all Gold tobacco flake and McClelland does it the best!

Cornell & Diehl - Shandygaff
Very Unique BurPerTurk without Virginia
I love the cedar / #2 pencil / salty taste I get from Shandygaff and it is not harsh or rough and the cut is much finer than most C&D bulk blends. I was wary not ever having a blend without Virginia or Cavendish to sweeten and smooth out a blend with Turkish and Perique but there is some sweetness present perhaps from the Burley? Really really tasty and the closest thing to an all day blend from C&D that is not an aromatic. No dottle or wet pipe cleaners and the room note while not Apricots or Vanilla did not provoke violence from the ladies in the room so that's a plus! A nice Nic hit but not overbearing at all. Add a pinch of unflavored or sweetened Black Cavendish and the added sweetness amplifies the condimental tobacco's tenfold! Yum!

Sutliff - Mountain Pass 1.5oz
Vanilla Custard!
Delicious blend of brown and black Cavendish. Second only to Molto Dolce in aromatic qualities but I like this even more. Vanilla custard, vanilla pudding, eggnog, butterscotch, these are the flavors and aromas that are present in Mountain Pass. The nice thing is that nothing is overdone and there is come complexity of flavors, burn is good and does not leave too much dottle. Sutliff's best blend to date!
