Newminster - No.306 English Orient
Too dry, harsh
Not a fan. I like English blends but this one adds far too much dryness resulting in a bitter, harsh smoke.
McClelland - 2015 Virginia-Perique Flake
GF likens the nose of this to steak, carne asada. It definitely has a meaty aroma. The flake is thick and moist. Great on its own or mixed with BC. Full of flavor. The pure VA and the stalwart Perique fill the mouth with flavor. A little hard to light due to the moisture and thickness, but well worth it.
Sutliff - 150 Mark Twain
This new try out was a big hit for both of us. We've already gone through our whole amount. Soft, flavorful, sweet, authentic.
Lane Limited - BCA
We learned early on we like aromatics, and we figured, after trying to find the perfect one, let's try going back to basics! This is a lasting favorite.
Pipe Tools & Supplies - B. J. Long Regular Pipe Cleaners (56 pack)
Used dry, it's a little too soft to get a good clean from a well used pipe. However, it soaks up cleaning fluid like nobody's business, which can make the difference. You might use these to "finish" a clean done with a bristle cleaner, too.
Pipe Tools & Supplies - Czech Pipe Tool
A little stiff but still very good.
Cornell & Diehl - Izmir Turkish
Good and classic
I like this one a lot when I want a "classic" smoke. Earthy and authentic. Even Old World cosmopolitan. Burns well too.
Dunhill - Nightcap
First smoke impression not so good. Harsh, strong, almost dusty. Not what I'd want for a late evening smoke, as the name suggests, at all.
