Mac Baren - Virginia No. 1 3.5oz
In a word, pleasant
(2yr aged) I got a sweet fermented scent when cracking the tin, which made its way into the taste when smoked and carried this blend all of the way through the bowl. You do get some bright VA notes here as well, however the darker accents are much more in the forefront. Smoked great for me with only a couple of minutes dry time with almost no end-of-bowl dottle. I would smoke this blend at any time through my day, although I've found that there isn't enough variance in flavor for me to consider this an all day blend. Mild to medium in flavor and strength. I will continue to carry in my cellar. Very good, well rounded VA blend.
