McClelland - MCR - McRaspberry
Pretty decent smoke
Like most aromatics, the top half of the smoke is better than the bottom half...burns reasonably cool, with little bite...the raspberry taste is great at the start of the smoke, and decent enough through-out the entire bowl...not a great blend by any means, but better then average...

Sutliff - Spiced Rum
Tingles the palate
Probably not for everybody, but if you like a spicy taste, this one works well...the rum taste is fine and lasts a reasonable time through the smoke...the peppery taste tingles the tongue...but it's not tongue-burn...I smoke it both straight and I blend it with a burley or heavy Cavendish to change the spiciness...when you smoke it, you know you're smoking something...I guess, like most things, it's a matter of taste...or taste-buds...

Sutliff - J12 - Chocolate Truffle
Disapointed
not that it's bad, but the 'chocolate' taste just isn't so tasty...the blend burns well enough, but leaves a little too dry after-taste on my palate..maybe it's me...I tried another chocolate blend and had similar results...

Lane Limited - 1-Q
Bi-Polar
I recently tried my first bowl...as I began smoking it, I was already making plans on buying a pound of this stuff...however, by about mid-bowl, I began having a little doubt...by the end of the smoke, I doubted that I'd ever order again...it went from a great taste to a harsh off-putting taste...but it works well enough when I filled the bottom half of my bowl with another blend and then topped the bowl with the Lane's 1-Q

Sutliff - Christmas Spice
Nice light smoke
One of the lightest blends I've encountered...burns well to the bottom of the bowl, and it's easy on the tongue and palate,,,if there's a knock, it's that it doesn't remind me much of X-mas...just reminds me of a pleasant tasting smoke.

Sutliff - J4 - Burley
Great for blending
When I ordered a variety of blends, this was my least favorite...okay, but a little too light and left a dry taste on the palate...wondering how to use it up, I began blending it with other aromatic blends...just a little of the Burley seemed to make the blends a little more interesting...then it dawned on me to try mixing it with my RYO cigarettes...it mellowed out even the harshest inexpensive tobaccos and made really fine smokes...great blender...
