Peter Stokkebye - PS52 Proper English
Bu Bu But I Hate English Blends.
Full disclosure: I hate English blends. But this is YUMMY. Full bodied smoke. Good mouth feel. Nice smell. The first thing I noticed is that it tastes a lot like Drew Estates Deadwood cigar series. Has a nice campfire taste. No ash taste. No aftertaste. A slight floral thing going on. SLIGHT. Tobacco seems dry, but could be old stock at my brick and mortar store. Just bought 4 ounces from Smoking Pipes. Lastly, this has a bit of sweetness to it. Hard to explain. Can taste it all through my mouth. Kind of tastes/feels like the sweetener that is placed on the tip of sweetened cigars. And last but not least, NO TONGUE BITE. PS: Has a mild white pepper spice thing going on.

No Nonsense Smoke
Bought this at a local tobacco shop. I like it. It's tobacco. Just tobacco. No hoity toity. No flavor de jor blown up your butt. No luxurious fruits basking in a Tuscan sun. Just tobacco. Which is a nice change. Since it seems like everyone is trying to cram every tobacco ever grown into a two ounce tin. There's only so much you can do with dried leaves. And this dry vegetation is very nice when burned. Slightly sweet. No dry mouth. Nice smell. Burns well. No tongue bite. No acrid aftertaste. I pick up just a hint of cinnamon. If all you want is a clean, no frills boring bowl, Winding Road is for you.

Finally, Folks, Finally
A simple tobacco with no fanfare. Has a bit of sourness and sweetness to it. No lofty claims of plumb flavored unicorns or rum encased rainbows or dancing raisins juggling vanilla beans. Just a very nice tobacco. Burns cool in every pipe I've smoked it in. Not too many relights once it gets going. This my first and last tobacco review. I had to leave this review because I recently went through nine different types of tobacco until I FINALLY found one I liked. And it smokes well straight out of the tin. Tin note is citrus, if that matters to you. Enjoy.
