Warped - Scarecrow 2oz
Smoke before you sniff.
My first impression when I popped the tin and put my nose in was this is reminiscent of finding a sock that someone wore for a week on a camping trip that didn't quite make it into the washer when you got home. Smells, like covers of books, may well be deceiving. This is a very nice fall smoke, great plug that is easy to break off and dry a bit before smoking (which I would recommend). Great, cut, taste and packing characteristics. Highly recommend.

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 8oz
Now my go to blend.
Must have gotten a bad batch in 2017. I wrote a bad review then and regret it. A blender can have a bad day just like the rest of us. After shelving a tin for 2 years I gave it a whirl again, in an unsmoked pipe. Wow! Love it. "Stoved" 4 oz. 3 weeks ago... just opened jar today and fantastic.

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Very nice. Even better than expected.
Kept this cellared for 2 years. What a nice surprise. Put it out for a couple hours before smoking.

Newminster - No.400 Superior Navy Flake
Take it slow and enjoy.
I have been smoking pipes since I was in college. I'm now 63. This is one of the most superb VA tobacco I've smoked. Had it set up in a jar for 2 years. Just had my first crack at it last night. WOW.

Savinelli - Brunello Flake 100g
Dry it for a couple hours!
...after cutting it crosswise. A superb quality smoke and one of the tastiest I have tried over the last 40 years I have been smoking a pipe. Truly a "sleeper" since before a few months ago I didn't equate Savinelli with fine pipe tobacco. I gave it a try and now it is one of my go to blends daily. Give it a whirl and I am pretty sure you won't be disappointed.

One of the best
Super good mild english blends. Morning, noon or night.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Royal 3.5oz
Uber Delicious
Thought 7 Seas Reg. was it... Royal is a step up in taste for sure. Great aromatic transition from time to time from the usual English/burley/vaper blends I smoke. Highly recommend.

McClelland - Collector: 3 Oaks Original 50g
Smooth Operator
At sixty I have tried many, many pipe tobaccos and I can say without reservation this is one of my favorites. Very tasty - the oriental makes this blend special in my opinion. McClelland has done it again. Another stellar blend from a great tobacco house.

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Redo
I thought the rest of the tin was going in my "potpourri" jar, but thought I'd give it one more try. I pored the whole tin out on a newspaper and mixed it up this morning. I left a pipe bowl worth or for tonight to dry a bit. Just finished a bowl. MUCH better. could taste the latakia, perique and, yes, the rum came through just right. Lesson learned: Mix up your tins first (latakia and perique must not have been on top) before smoking and ALWAYS give C&D blends a third or fourth try. Not my favorite, but a very nice blend.

Cornell & Diehl - Cross-Eyed Cricket 2oz
Cross-Eyed blender
Well, I love most of the C&D blends I've tried, but this is a failure out of the gates. Latakia? Perique? and the rum - only a hint now and a gain. I've tried this two nights as a first and last pipe without any change. Air and cardboard; no flavor just like smoking a stale cigarette To be certain, I love C&D Lagonda and DaVinci among other blends from their house, but this one drops the ball big time. My son tried a bowl too and totally agreed. Definitely will not order again.

Peterson - 3 P's Peterson's Perfect Plug 50g
Very tasty plug
What a great combo - I broke in a new Peterson "Devil Anse" 2017 Pipe of the Year with this Peterson plug last night. What a fabulous experience! As mentioned in a few reviews, this plug cake has to be sliced thin. I would recommend a razor blade with a safety edge and cutting away from your body. This worked quite well for me. Also, I'd recommend leaving the slices out overnight before smoking. I will definitely purchase more of this cake.

Silk-stocking English
This has rapidly become my favorite go-to english blend. Silky smooth... the full, rich flavor of the Virginia, and especially the Latakia just keeps getting tastier right down to the dottle. A must try for light English fans.

Daughters & Ryan - Picayune 40g
Ditto that unique perique
I agree totally with brother Kevin P. Truly unique perique. A must try. I love this belend after dinner with a nice snifter of brandy or cognac. The best of D&R's blends in my humble opinion.

Rattray's - Red Rapparee 50g
Wrap your pipe around a Bowl of Red Rap
Great tobacco from my college days recently revisited. Smooth sailing.

Cornell & Diehl - Morley's Best 2oz
Bravo!
C&D has done it again. Keep it jarred for a spell. Real nice.

Cornell & Diehl - Da Vinci 2oz
A Masterpiece!
This blend is truly a work of art by the blenders at C&D. This has become my go to blend for a relaxing smoke after after dinner.

G. L. Pease - Lagonda 2oz
Tasty Treat
This one is a real winner. Perfect on the Latakia. Pease has done it again.

G. L. Pease - Stonehenge Flake 2oz
Winner
Stocked up on three tins after my first couple of bowls. Excellent smoke.

Peter Heinrichs - Dark Strong Flake 200g
Uber Delicious
Excellent blend from the first puff after a false light right down to the dottle. Has become one of my go to blends.

Cornell & Diehl - Bayou Night 2oz
Something's missing
One of the reviews I read before buying this tobacco referred to it as a "spice bomb." Well, I must have received a bad batch. I think the blender forgot to add the Perique and/or the Latakia. While the blend packed and burned very well with ample smoke, it was simply devoid of any "spice." I really enjoy several of C&D's blends, in particular Morley's Best, this was a disappointment. I'm going to give it another try in a couple of days just to be sure.
