Peter Stokkebye - PS400 Luxury Navy Flake
Darn Good Va-Per
This is a truly fantastic VaPer at an incredible value. Unfortunately, it arrives very young, and without any age it isn't great. The good news is that only a year or two in a jar is needed for it to mature. After two years Luxury Navy Flake is better than Escudo, Elizabethan, Deluxe Navy Rolls and others whether or not aged.
Kramer's - Father Dempsey
Great Flavor, but Burns Hot AF and Difficult to Control
Father Dempsey is one I wanted to love but it is nearly impossible to enjoy because of how hot it smokes. I purchased a few oz. in bulk, and it came a little wet. Naturally, I thought that should explain why it smoked so hot. I dried it to perfection and it was still difficult to control and still burned hotter than a mother. So, I brought the moisture to drier than I usually enjoy and still, it burns hot AF and is difficult to control. I tried various packing and tamping methods and nothing worked to control these problems. So, after no less than 25 bowls I feel qualified to report that this blend is not great because it is difficult to control, bites, and burns super-hot.
Peter Stokkebye - PS52 Proper English
Pretty good, medium-bodied English blend
This is a good medium-bodied English blend at a fantastic value. It has a bit of a sweetness, and some believe it's from the Virginias, which may be true in-part but it definitely has a light sweetness added as well. But it's not overwhelming and only slightly detectable. No other flavorings detected. This blend is very similar to Esoterica Margate if you've had that. Some believe this is a good substitute for Dunhill Early Morning Pipe but this is much better in flavor than EMP. It's a great all-day, everyday blend and it will not disappoint.

Planta - Full English
Good, Full/Strong English without Sweet Topping
This is a strong-ish English, medium-low Latakia content, no detectable topping or added sweetness. Good nic-kick. The cigar leaf really adds some fullness. A good English, though I prefer a little less Vitamin N personally.
Peter Stokkebye - PS402 Luxury Twist Flake
Meh
It's an immature pure VA topped with a sweet, mild, vanilla-like flavor/aroma. I don't like it, even with a few years of age. Obviously, many people did like it, so you may too. I didn't like the topping for sure. However, it would probably be a good blender.
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton on the Town 50g
Really Like this Blend
This is a great blend. It's darn near as good as FM Cellar. Should definitely try it! Get the big tin, you'll wish you had.
Orlik - Golden Sliced 50g
Needs Age!
UPDATED REVIEW. I opened this tin and smoked a couple bowls and hated it. See prior review below. I sealed it in a jar and aged it for only 3 months. Recently re-opened the jar and wow, quite the transformation. Still a little bite-y, still burns hot if not careful, but the flavor is now really good. I've smoked a few 3-month-old bowls now and it's quite enjoyable. Gonna age the rest for 3 more months to see what that does. Prior Review: 1.5 Stars. There are many more enjoyable tobaccos out there, be it for a beginner or veteran. Golden sliced lacks something keeping it from being great. And it bites the crap out of my tongue, mouth, and throat (maybe it needs several years of age?). I'd recommend any Stokkebye Virginia or VaPer instead.
Peter Stokkebye - PS403 Luxury Bullseye Flake
Unreal Good
Fantastic tobacco. I would say this is my favorite Virginia. Kicks the tar out of Orlik Golden Sliced, and better than Stokkebye's Luxury Navy Flake which, in its own right, is very good.
Sutliff - Z50 Black Cordial
Great Aromatic
I gave this four stars, but it could be a 4.5, depending on my mood. Very chill and sweet. It is moist, and requires drying. However, once dried, sit back and r e l a x with a bowl of this. You won't be disappointed.
Sutliff - Tobacco Galleria: Night Cap
Very Good Aromatic
I really like this blend. Delicious and sweet. Fantastic room note. Different from Lane 1-Q but about as good. Not quite as good as Sutliff B27. A nice, chill aromatic for a pleasant evening. Good choice for beginner or veteran.
Stanwell - Vanilla 50g
Okay, but Not Great
To me, this was more fruity than vanilla-y. If you're into that, you'll love this. I was really excited to pop this but when I did I thought maybe I got a mis-labeled tin of fruity tobacco. Turns out that's just Stanwell Vanilla. For truer vanilla deliciousness, try Sutliff's Creme Brulee.
Sutliff - Creme Brulee
Really Good Aromatic
This is a delicious, sweet, vanilla-y aromatic that will not disappoint. Comes very moist and will require thorough drying. It never gets appropriately dry though. Nevertheless, a favorite aromatic for sure. Better and more vanilla-y than Stanwell Vanilla.
McClelland - Craftsbury: Frog Morton's Cellar 50g
So, so good
I cannot believe how great this blend is. I mean, McClelland really did this one right. This was the first English I ever liked, and I really, really like it. Really changed the pipe game for me. Frog Morton On the Town is very good too.
Sutliff - B27 - Smooth Black & Golden Cavendish
Very Good Aromatic Blend
I really like this blend. Great taste and excellent room note. Not strong either. I'd say it's somewhat similar to Lane 1-Q, but a little better. Really glad I took the chance on this stuff!
Lane Limited - 1-Q
Sets the Bar for Aromatics
I think the masses (who enjoy aromatics) would agree that 1-Q is a delicious tobacco. For me and my peers, 1-Q sets THE standard for which all other aromatics are compared. Certainly, there are better blends available (Sutliff B27 off the top of my head), but 1-Q is nevertheless very good.
