Iwan Ries - Three Star Blue 1.5oz
Great with some age
I put this in a jar after smoking it once, wasn't impressed. After some time in a jar though it's really great. Oddly the elements become more distinct and I can suddenly taste the tobacco harmonizing with the topping. Worth a try but with so many blends that are great right away, I won't be buying a ton of this but will have some around.

Old Dominion - Virginia Planter
love this pipe
I have two of these and they both smoke great. I never really liked M.M. cobs that much. But I find these O.D. cobs great. The biggest issue is the draw. I personally find M.M. cobs too open in their draw and to also need a breaking in period. And for 20 bucks why not get one at worst you'll have a pipe you can smoke when fishing or hiking and not be sad if you lose it.

A & C Petersen - Escudo Navy Deluxe 50g
A must have for me.
Love this one. When I open a tin of this I smoke it straight through. I think there is a reason it is such a best seller. This is high in the running for the desert island blend.

Mac Baren - 7 Seas Gold 3.5oz
If you almost like Captain Black
This blend is a naked rip off of Captain Black but it doesn't have that chemical taste which you're lucky if you don't taste. If you're like me and think Captain Black smells great but has a weird chemical taste then buy something from this series.

Erinmore - Erinmore Flake 50g
I say you should try this.
I love this stuff. It's very unique. It's worth trying just to see something so one of a kind. You might not like it but it's pretty great in my opinion.

Savinelli - Doblone d'Oro 100g
Too uneven for my taste
This is the most uneven blend I've smoked. Some moments are excellent like better then I could describe and then in the same smoke I'll get an acrid burnt rubber taste. When it's going good it's a five but that five can drop to a 2 really fast.

Sail - Regular (Yellow) 1.5oz
A solid three star
To me this is precisely what gets three stars. Nothing wrong with it but also not as interesting as a lot of other blends. I enjoy smoking it but I'm not going to have any wow moments. I gave this another star. As I keep reaching for it more and more. It's really grown on me. Everything I said still applies but darn it there is something basic and really good about this one. It's becoming one of the old familiar blends. As in I know precisely what to expect but that is a good thing.

Kramer's - Blend for Cary Grant 50g
A real everyday smoke.
I love this blend. And the name works. It really is a best of both worlds type of blend. It's manly yes smooth and your lady friends won't mind the room note at all. So I really could imagine Cary smoking this as his main one.
