Turk Me in Bed - Done for the Night
Smokey, woodsy, fruity, earthy, sweet, sour, and slightly slightly spicy. All adjectives that combine to describe one of my favorite blends. Being a sucker for Orientals this is a no brainer. And it's a PLUG?!! Get in my cellar!

Not For Me!
Orientals are like Aromatics in that they are so vastly different that it's hard to earn a consistently high rating. I'm sure other people will love this blend but it's not to my palette. The specific choice of Virginias remind me of cigarettes too much and the mix of Orientals/Turkish leaves are not sufficient to cover that taste. Shame.

Va/Lat with a Healthy Helping of Orientals
I'm a freak for Turkish/Oriental leaves so this is by far my favorite Esoterica. Va/Lats are dime a dozen but the introduction of Turkish leaves really takes this to the next level. Think cirtusy sweet virginias with that musky, woodsy latakia; and a touch of that incensesy taste of Orientals.
Esoterica - Dunbar 2oz
How can Va/Per blends be so different? Unlike your usual "raisin bready" Va/Per, this is refreshingly light and bright. Very grassy, very citrusy; and just a hint of spices. Absolutely delectable.

Virginia Dominant w/ Hint of Perique
Light on Vitamin N so this is definitely a good candidate for an all-day smoker. If you like the sweetness of Virginia blends but wanted to experiment with Perique, this is the blend! The 5% perique adds just a touch of spicy, fruitiness that balances out the blend perfectly.
Cornell & Diehl - Evergreen 2oz
Definitely my favorite from the Wintertime Reserves line up. A classic Va/Per that tastes very similar to Elizabethan Mixture. The tin smell like a fresh loaf of bread, with hints of a fruity sweetness. The perique is definitely the star here: sweet, nutty, and a little spicy in its aftertaste. There will be a healthy amount of these in my cellar.

Va/Lat w/ Strong Topping
Strong smells of chocolate, nutmeg, and vanilla once you pop open the tin. The smoke is not nearly as strong as the topping. Standard grassy Virginias with a slightly sweet and woodsy Latakia. Would not write home about it but will write a review as it seems these Wintertime Reserve blends are somewhat of a shot in the dark for most buyers.
