Hans "Former" Nielsen began carving pipes in 1956 and has since become a legend of Danish pipe artistry with a worldwide following. In addition to his exquisite pipes, he's released his own line of pipe tobaccos — several of the blends fittingly named after briar's grain patterns.
A full-bodied and amazingly smooth dark flake tobacco prepared from traditional old-world recipes and methods, Former's Straight Grain Flake combines Virginias with a good pinch of mellow, yet spicy, Perique to bring out the rich flavor in this zesty blend.

all of these former flakes are very good. A real surprise, actually. And this is the best, id say. Its rather strong, as vapers go, but very high quality. A stronger version of 633 by Solani.

This is my favorite flake out of the Former line. Easy to pack, easier to keep lit. A bit strong for a vaper, maybe that why I like it? The only thing is it’s over $2.50 MORE per tin than at another online retailer. Come on SP…. Don’t rip us off.
