Sadly, I believe this now contains Cyprian (not bad, just disappointed!). I will say also that this is the most balanced English I have smoked. Artisan's Blend is a tobacco blend that proclaims it is “for the experienced pipe smoker”. I agree with that statement to a point. Read More new pipe smoker, but if you've tried a few Latakia mixtures and understand how Orientals can play with flavors, then this is a good one to try. It has a common rough ribbon cut and colors range from tan to dark brown. It lights easily, burns slow and cool, and doesn't bite. The flavor is both delicious and strong. The Virginias within give the blend a slight sweetness, but they don't stand out in the shadow of the Latakia and Orientals playing off each other which is where the majority of flavor comes from. It is a full-flavored blend of mostly aromatic woods and earthiness with a touch of spice. I can't tell how much Perique is used, and I can't pick it out per se, but it's definitely there adding a richness to the blend (the tin says a “touch” of Perique, but I'd guess more). I'd easily give this a 5 on taste. It tastes much better than the somewhat ordinary Latakia-rich tin note would lead you to believe. All in all, this is a wonderful blend for lovers of Latakia and Orientals. Word is out though about how good it is, so availability varies. Thankfully, it's not overpriced. That makes Ashton Artisan's Blend a must. Enjoy. Read Less

The Artisan's Blend is a completely different style of English from the traditional Dunhill, or Sam Gawith; both of which are enjoyable tobaccos.
