Eight ounces of this burley and one ounce of C & D Granulated Perique make up my favorite all day smoke now. The two seem to compliment each other perfectly.

1/3/2020 Update: You’d think that with as popular as this item is, it would be in stock constantly. It’s not. I rarely find this stuff here anymore. Absolutely frustrating. I like buying from Smokingpipes.com, but I’m done making this my first stop. Read Less
This burley runs the gamut on the burley note profile from light to dark; it has the brighter walnut like tannic qualities as well as the fermented dark earthiness of composted leaf litter. It doesn’t possess the added cocoa or bourbon notes found in... Read More Prince Albert, but the quality is so much higher in this that it doesn’t require it. It possesses natural notes of burnt cocoa, black pepper and walnuts (both bitter and sweet). It’s a more elegant and natural version of Prince Albert, with a kick of nicotine. Smoked slow with a light ember will reward you with all the wonderful flavor profiles burley offers and does so with more sweetness. For the price and ease of loading (cube cut is without a doubt the easiest to simply dip and scoop), I prefer this to Solani Aged Burley Flake - though Solani offers a flavor explosion, albeit added flavor. A good quality component for mixtures/blends, and excellent on its own if you love burley. Moderate to full body and the nicotine level is medium. Read Less

To start my pipe club utilizes a cube cut Burley they've cased in a light vanilla for thier slow smoke contests. It is NASTY! Pripr to lighting I thought I would have to struggle through bowl after bowl and just have to "learn how to enjoy it". Much to my surprise, it started off smooth and mellow with little flavor to speak of. Then it started to grow. The back note of sweetness came to the for front. "Forom a Burley?!" The sweetness soon gave way to a pleasant bitterish earthiness that I can't even describe; but the sweetness still remained on the edge of the pallate. Now I will be ordering this succulent delicious adventure for the simple sake of enjoying it fully! Read Less
I was introduced to Cube Cut Burley back in the 70’s at Jon’s Pipe Shop in Clayton, MO...love at first puff. His was from southeast Missouri and I’ve never had any since that came close to its character. I smoked it straight and enjoyed it every time... Read More. The C&D equivalent is a good smoke if taken slowly but lacks the mysterious flavor of my first encounter. Having said that, I regularly use this one as a blender with PA. Both benefit in my opinion when blended about 50/50. It smokes cooler than either and adds some missing taste to both. It’s a go to smoke for when I’m bored with the others or just want an easy experience. It’s a bit dry in the tin but picks up needed moisture from the PA after a few days getting to know each other. On its own, it’s OK, lights easily, burns well and has no bad habits...if smoked slowly. It’s straight up Burley for those who enjoy that sort of thing...me amongst them. Read Less

This is an excellent Burley and will age well for a number of years. But very smokable fresh. This blend has a very " nutty " flavor and smokes extremely cool. I ordered a couple ounces to try and will definitely order more. I had been smoking the white and dark burley separately but this combination of them really works well for me. Less bite than I anticipated. I plan to use this cube cut burley to doctor up milder blends that I like but find uninspiring to smoke. If you plan to smoke much of this stuff straight, I'd recommend a screen in the bottom of the pipe, or at least a pinch of rough cut or ribbon to keep the draw clear and free of chunky bits. But overall, this is another great C&D product. Read Less
