Drucquer & Sons: The Devil's Own 100g

Product Number: 003-756-0003

Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own: Named for one of its most famous devotees, Sir Henry Irving, during the time he portrayed Mephisto in the London production of Faust, ca. 1885. The Devil's Own is a medium mixture with a wonderfully balanced taste and aroma. It is simultaneously somewhat sweeter and fuller than Inns of Court due to a greater proportion of golden Virginias and Cyprian Latakia. The addition of a little air-cured leaf and unflavored black Cavendish add body and richness to the smoke.

Product: Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own 100g
This is one of mine and my father's favorites. It has a destinct, strong taste, with a surprisingly sweet tone with it. I really enjoy it, and we intend to keep it around. I would recommend jarring it though. It starts out dry, and will quickly dry... Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own 100g
I get alot of Hay&Wood out of this blend. Still quality tobacco, but just not to my personal tastes. My favorite part of this is the last 1/3 of the bowl where the richness finally comes through & you get a bit more sweetness/nutty flavors
Slightly Miclassed, but Wonderful

Product: Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own 100g
Ima smoking my way through all of the GL Pease Blends, including the Dreuqer & Sons blends. This blend is a mild Latika ,Burely, and cavendish blends. I would not necessarily classify as an English blend as the Burley flavor and difficult to des... Read More

My tin has age on it, so I don't know how much better it might be than a fresh one. What I enjoy most about this blend is its relative simplicity, considering the components and the categorization of the blend. It's mostly Virginia with the flavors o... Read More

When I first opened this tin I just didn’t care for it. So into a jar it went and sat for 6 months. Now I find it more congenial. The pipe starts out with a smooth white chocolate kindof flavover. Then about halfway down it become more nutty and p... Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own 100g
I found this one to be a nice mild English. Nothing really jumped out at me, but nothing struck me as awful either. A little more latakia would be nice but is not a deal breaker.

@Alan thanks for the review. I thought I should mention that, according to Greg Pease, Drucquers tins were never vacuum packed. He states that the shop didn't have the facility to do it, nor did he ever see such a pump on site. As far as my revie... Read More

Product: Drucquer & Sons The Devil's Own 100g
Maybe my tin was mislabeled. It is basically Inn of Court cigarette cut with No visible Latakia or black Cavendish. Harsh in the back of the throat as in unaged. I am a disappointed former Drucquers customer. BTW the tins are not Vacuum packed. The Or... Read More
