G. L. Pease: Odyssey 16oz

Product Number: 003-029-0057

Odyssey is huge: the biggest of the Pease blends. It's loaded with Latakia and harmonized by exotic Orientals. Wonderful red and jet-black stoved Virginias provide a perfect counterpoint.

A bit stronger than the Nightcap, but without the cigar room note of Billy Budd. I enjoy this one to,relax a bit before I head out for the evening. Good stuff!
bit to much smokiness

linear, some may like the journey, others may require more sophistication in flavour profile.

Big. Need I say more? Yes, I suppose I should. This one is a nice big latakia bomb. It's not overpowering. This is not pouring on the spiciest hot sauce to prove to everyone what a tough person you are. This is just a tasty blend that doesn't do a l... Read More

While I agree this is a quality blend, it is not a blend that suites me. Latakia is definitely the star in this blend while the oriental and Virginia provide supporting roles. Lat bomb if you will, with spice and incense from the oriental and a hair ... Read More

Product: G. L. Pease Odyssey 8oz
Upon lighting, immediately you sense that pleasant leading bouquet that belongs to latakia -- piquant tones of rose and leatheriness, flowery and somehow stale-fresh. Then as the bowl progresses, a melodious undertone reinforces the sweetness of the ... Read More

Deep and dark colors from the tin, complemented with some bright leafs from orientals and virginias. Awesome and deep latakia flavors that catch you from the first puff. It is a good and strong latakia based mixture but Never overwhelming at all. Not... Read More

This blend is really amazing and is one of my favorite latakia blends. When you open the can you are greeted by a no-nonsense smell of deep, rich leather smell that cools your nose as you inhale its awesomeness. I had a pretty fresh can that was mar... Read More

I'm writing this as I smoke my first bowl. I know it's not wise, but I just feel so excited! I was looking for a strong English (even stronger than this one) but I have to say I'm quite pleased. The latakia is strongly there, but at least I don't fin... Read More

I've been sampling a lot of tobaccos with the goal of having a rotation of a handful of personal stand-outs. This has entered the rotation. Some "experts" may poo-poo the liberal use of a "condiment tobacco" but brass-tax is tha... Read More

This will take some getting used to for me. Loaded with Cyprian Latakia. When I think of G.L. Pease's nick name "The Dark Lord" this blend comes to mind. Good stuff, but HOLY LATAKIA! -Best Regards, Dave Ray
