Distinct. Excellent.

Sweet, Smooth, Rich and Brisk are all good adjectives to use. Cigar leaf, Latakia, are easily discernible and in perfect proportion. The use of the cigar leaf allows this to be a heavier dry (at times) English blend while still being light on the Lat... Read More
akia. The Latakia is applied with real restraint to great results. It seems to have around as much as Chelsea morning does, but packs much more weight on its body. The tin art is god awful. It looks like something you’d see on a bundle of awful generic discount cigars. ‘Easy Miamis’ is a good name for them. Maybe they will change it but if not look past it and do your best not to let it give you any preconceptions. Highly recommend Read Less

Had it in the cellar waiting to be tasted in a appropriate occasion.
I do enjoy cigars which I smoke once in a while and was looking for a blend that included cigar leaf.

Conflicted

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
Being a fan of the film by the same name, as well as a fan of Pease tobaccos, I bought a tin of this the minute I saw it advertised. When I started to smoke it I was delighted by the flavor but it frankly knocked me on my ass! I figured that was bec... Read More
ause I had only recently got back into smoking my pipe, and perhaps I needed a little more build up before I could appreciate it: so I put the tin away for a year and recently decided it was time to try it again. This time I smoked it in a Peterson system pipe with the P lip, and indeed the channeling of the smoke upward in my mouth revealed more of the wonderful flavor. But it still knocked me for a loop. A single bowl full of it took me a whole day to smoke, and each time I lit up I could manage barely a few puffs before I had to stop and recover. That is why I headed this review 'conflicted.' I love the flavor, I think it is a wonderful blend, but I am just too much a lightweight to handle it. Other tobaccos listed as stronger don't seem to phase me, but this one really sends me reeling. What Ive been looking for

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
Meaty, bold, rich, flavorful, deep with naturally sweet cocoa and coffee notes that coat the mouth. The smokiness from the Latakia will come and go every now and then in a way that is interesting and subtle. Out of the snork can also be spicy and tin... Read More
gle in a way that's not overbearing because of its smooth and sweet leathery earth. A very interesting blend that has a good punch to it and it wants you to think there is a rough edge only to not be the case. Its smooth and bold and full while tasting great and not harsh. It's pretty much what I've been looking for in a blend. I do not like cigars and the way they smell and was put off by the cigar leaf mentioned in the description however, this is a rich, flavorful smoke and the tin description is spot on. Try it and be ready for a blend not for the faint of heart, but heroism is not required to love. Read Less
Don’t get fooled by the tin art

Someone else has already pointed out the cheap tin art for this blend and I totally agree with that. In contrast to that, I find this tobacco a very delightful experience of exotic flavours. It is dynamic blend that changes rather drastically through... Read More
out one bowl. As for the taste, it is exactley as it says on the tin, at least for me. But I add a little bit of an oriental aroma to that description which reminds me of an old style hooka tobacco I smoked in a middle eastern Bazaar coffee house years ago. Read Less

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
At first, I thought "meh", but after some times me with it, it is one of my favorites. A unique experience with enough cigar leaf for a former cigar smoker. I love G.L. Please!
Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 8oz
This is a very enjoyable and tasty blend and this really is a 'blend'. During the smoke you get the taste of the cigar leaf as well as the Latakia and Orientals blended with the slight sweetness of the Virginia in the background. Very nice and smooth... Read More

My new warm/hot weather favorite
Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
Easily my favorite pipe tobacco. Lots of depth, a hint of strong cigar, produces lots of enjoyable smoke, easy to pack and light. A first class smoke from beginning to end.
Two pipe fulls too many.

Terrible tongue bite. Very large nicotine buzz, almost like a Cuban cigar. No thank you.

Complex and good cigar blend

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
There is nothing like a good cigar. This blend gives that cigar flavor and combines it with an English woody, smoky pipe tobacco. It can be bitter. But still gives that pleasant woody pipe flavor. This is one I keep in my pipe tobacco stash.

At first blush I did not like this tobacco AT ALL. However, I'm glad that I hung onto it. If I want the experience that smoking a cigar brings, I'll smoke a cigar. I didn't appreciate that the front of this blend is like chewing on a cigar wrap bu... Read More

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
This is a good cigar blend, and very interesting as it develops as you go through the bowl. Starts gently but gets tougher. Tastes very rich and natural. However, as I am used to Billy Budd, I miss some more latakia here.

Product: G. L. Pease Key Largo 2oz
Some blends are good for cellaring and Key Largo practically demands it. There is cigar leaf in the mix and it is pretty noticable (like a punch in face). This would be a great blend for a cigar smoker who wants to switch things up a little bit. I... Read More
