G. L. Pease: JackKnife Plug 2oz

Product Number: 003-029-0072

For Pease's Jackknife Plug, dark-fired Kentucky Leaf and ripe red Virginia tobaccos, with their deep, earthy flavors, are layered on a central core of golden flue-cured for a hint of bright sweetness, then pressed and matured in cakes, and finally cut into 2oz blocks. Slice it thick and rub it out for a ribbon cut, thin for a shag, or chop it into cubes. The choice is yours.

From the tin you are greeted with a smoky/savoury kentucky smell (think Russian caravan tea), and a slightly sour, grassy, fruity smell from the virginias. While smoking, the virginias come across in a herbal, somewhat haylike way, with the kentucky ... Read More

Quite nice! Smooth, no bite, tin note of beef jerky, mild but not bland and tasteless, a different change of pace from my usual English/Balkan blends, warm satisfying, a great all day smoke! Want to kick it up a notch? Try Triple play!

This is what your great, great, granddads plug tasted like. Very natural and rich with lots of straight up unadulterated tobacco flavors. It tastes very similar to my homegrown Brightleaf Virginia. This is a slow smoking tobacco. Don't rush it. I bel... Read More

I've been fortunate to try a lot of GLP blends. This is my favorite. The nicotine dose is generous. The flavor is just right. Try loading up with small cubes diced to about 1/8 inch or less.

I spent about a year searching for a really great go-to pipe tobacco that would smoke cool with great flavor and little to no tongue bite. This plug is by far the best stuff I've found. Now I spend my days alternating this one with G.L. Pease's other... Read More

I enjoy this tobacco in its plugged and ready rubbed forms very much. Comes out of the tin on the moist side so I find I need to let it air dry for a couple of hours before lighting. Once lit, JackKnife doesn't dissapoint. Big flavors -- coming from ... Read More
