Produced by Chris Herath and Nicole Weed | Edited by Nicole
I'm here today to talk about some exciting new accessories that we're offering on Smokingpipes. We recently updated the first handful of products that we made in collaboration with Dark Fired Leather.

Our good friend Ed Graves down in Florida makes incredible leather products. If you've gone to any of the pipe shows in the US over the last many years, you've probably met Ed or seen him there with his products. I personally started using one of his pipe wallets earlier this year and love the design so much that, naturally, Ed and I started talking about what it would be like for him to collaborate with Smokingpipes. We have two products in a couple of different colorways.
Pipe Wallets
The first is his signature pipe wallet. The thing I like about the pipe wallet is it really is designed to be pocket friendly. A lot of single pipe cases out there are boxy, clunky, and don't really fit into a jacket pocket or even a jeans pocket that easily.
In the wallet, you have a large open compartment that neatly fits a pipe. You can fit a variety of pipe sizes in here. Honestly, a Group 5 or 6 classic shape definitely would fit in here, as well as a deeply bent Group 3 or 4 or a freehand artisan pipe; it has a lot of space.
You also have two flaps on the inside, one of which is pretty convenient for a tamper or any other small tool, and the other one neatly houses a standard sized lighter, like an Old Boy. Basically everything that you need, except for your tobacco, is in one convenient carry case that is supple, well-made, and likely to last a lifetime.
We have the pipe wallets available in black and red; seagrass and gold, which is a really lovely classic combination; a traditional saddle and follie, which is a green and gold tweed; and my personal favorite, buttercream and blueberry. It's gorgeous. That's gonna patina super well, too.
The leather used on these are a variety of different leathers, mostly European cowhides, both semi and full vat-dyed and semi-aniline leathers. They're really supple, durable, and definitely made for years of heavy use.
Two-Pipe Rolls
In addition to the pipe wallets, we also have these really handy two-pipe rolls in a classic roll-up format, available in the same colorways. These are really neat, and I like them because you have Ed's Dark Fired signature pipe pocket, which actually would be stem first and the larger part of the pipe here.
The cool thing about that is that he's able to more compactly fit multiple pipes into a small space. You'll see this also in his larger two, three, four, and above pipe cases that we will also be carrying soon.
There are also a number of pockets on the inside. You have one that is an open pocket, which is good for accessories like pipe cleaners. You've got a zippered pocket here that's perfect for tamper, lighter, and other accessories. And then there is one more pocket underneath the pipes themselves, all rolled up into a nice, neat, and travel-friendly package.
I love the work that Ed does. He's a smoker and a pipe collector himself, and that's really evident in the design here for all of these products. Check them out. Dark Fired Leather, now available at Smokingpipes.
