Back at the beginning of May, Sykes and I were lucky enough to spend some time in San Diego. We had some business to take care of first, but naturally, we spent the balance of our remaining time hanging out with Jeff Burt-Gracik of J. Alan pipes. There was coffee (with Jeff there is always coffee), food, and general catching up, especially between Sykes and Jeff, who don't usually get to see each other outside of shows or Jeff's workshops. We even suffered a major defeat at a game of Candy Land.
We also came home with the four pipes on today's update, for which Jeff bucked his usual trend of working on multiple pipes over several weeks so that we could document the process. So here's a gallery of Jeff shaping the Sandblasted Bent Egg available in today's (6/9/16) update.
