I waited a long time to try Brigade Campaign. It was a few years ago when the blend was rarely available due to the cult following it had gained. When I finally got my hands on a tin, I wasn't disappointed. Experienced Virginia smokers are likely to fall in love immediately, but I can also understand how one might feel underwhelmed after the first bowl — especially if, like me, you had to hunt down your tin. If you're not impressed at first, I strongly encourage you to smoke through the tin, perhaps in several different pipes, and during different times of the day. You'll be rewarded with a very rich flavor and plenty of sweetness. While not a powerhouse, I also find this blend to have enough strength to satisfy. This one's definitely worth the wait, as well as your patience.
