All Pipes Considered: Eltang Basic
In this episode of All Pipes Considered, Truett and I take a closer look at Eltang Basic, a line of pipes featuring Tom Eltang's most iconic signatures like the Poker shape, distilled down to their most utilitarian forms. Tom and his team handcraft each bowl from Italian briar in their workshop in Copenhagen. The saddle stems are made to Tom's exacting specifications, then machined and finished by hand. What's more, the shanks are fashioned from lightweight, unbreakable, and heat-resistant carbon fiber, further solidifying their workhorse status. Check out the video for more of our thoughts on this outstanding line.

Great Vid.
I like this 'new' version a lot. And coming from someone who already owns three of the original 'Sailor Pipes' from Copenhagen it really means something.
For me this is simply the best ever developed version for this utilitarian design.
Bravo Tom!
I just got mine today and it smokes like a dream. Very comfortable/natural in the clench and just the right size for me. The dark stained sandblast and polished rim look killer too. Nicely done!
