Collector Spotlight: Chip Kushner Travels in Style
Chip Kushner (collector and President of the San Diego Pipe Club) recently stopped by Smokingpipes.com for a visit. After taking the grand tour of our new digs and then having lunch with a few of us, Chip graciously allowed us to photograph a few of the pipes that made the cross-country trip with him.

This one is all about that bamboo! Great hand feel and has the duo's signature Manzanita accent that has been perfectly executed to match the Buddha bamboo knuckles. This pipe also features a reverse tenon which adds durability and the stem work is superb.

This little stunner is very lightweight, and the impeccable shaping and grain are exactly what one would expect from a Bang bearing Ulf's signature stamp. Chip loves this pipe because it is a practical pipe to smoke, and not just for pulling out on special occasions. It smokes English blends like a dream!

Jeff Gracik was in possession of some very high grade pipes that belonged to another collector, and among them was a very special Lars Ivarsson that inspired this design. Chip was able to watch the entire process, from block to finish, making this gorgeous nod to the Danish legend even more special.

Few pipe makers can match Adam's ability to utilize wild and funky pieces of bamboo, and this pipe is a wonderful example. The grain ain't half bad either!

Who doesn't love a patent Dunhill? Perfect size, a great smoker, and just look at that craggy blast!
We would like to thank Chip for allowing us to share some of his outstanding collection with our readers.
