Holiday Tradition: The 2024 Wintertime Reserve Blends
The holiday season offers a plethora of traditions to indulge in. Whether burning yule logs or shoving citrus in stockings, everyone has one. For pipe smokers, one such tradition is the annual release of the Wintertime Reserve series.
Wintertime Reserve offers a selection of unique holiday-themed tobacco, with the catch being that they're available only as a complimentary accompaniment when purchasing any new Peterson pipe here at Smokingpipes. Unavailable for individual purchase, Wintertime Reserve is a special holiday treat.
Each year the blends change, never repeating, and each selection carries a unique theme for the holiday season. This year was inspired by Santa's naughty-or-nice list with four blends named and artistically labeled to reflect the duality of the season. Don't be fooled: each of these blends is a treat to smoke.
This year sees tin art done by Artur Lopes with his stunning depictions of Santa, Mrs. Klaus, Krampus, and one tough Frosty the Snowman. They're great straight out of the tin or for storing in the cellar between the holidays for a special smoking tradition. Every blend is created by Jeremy Reeves and produced by Cornell & Diehl, ensuring quality and nuance in every smoke.
Scarlet Cache: An all-Virginia blend of the finest stoved and unstoved Reds and Brights, cased with elixirs from Klaus' secret stash. Tobacco forward with a rich, dark sweetness and subtle hints of citrus and booze.
Kringle's Delight: Warm and inviting, this cake-cut blend of Black Cavendish, Katerini Turkish, and Virginias may be Mrs. Claus' finest creation yet — tobacco forward with subtle hints of vanilla and baking spices.
Fireside Fable: Black as the Longest Night, this Latakia-forward blend is deep and woody, with a mysterious, incense-like aroma carried by Turkish fire-cured leaf, Dark Burleys, and a pinch of Bright Virginia.
Midnight Moxie: Not for the faint of heart, this robust blend of Dark and cube-cut Burleys, Red Virginia, and St. James Perique will put hair on even a snowman's chest. Pressed and sliced into an old-fashioned crumble cake for easy packing.
The Wintertime Reserve series pairs nicely with the release of Peterson's annual Christmas pipe. Beloved by collectors and newcomers alike, the Peterson Christmas pipe is now in its 15th edition. This year's pipe is made all the more special with copper spigots, evocative of the warmth of a cozy fireside glowing on a cold winter's night. Every 2024 Christmas pipe also features a cumberland-hued acrylic stem, a perfect complement to the copper's gleam. They're available in a variety of finishes, perfect for the discerning smoker this holiday season.
Whether you pick up a new Peterson this holiday season and get to try the latest batch of Wintertime Reserve or if you just get to share a smoke with a loved one, we wish you good tidings as we head into the hustle and bustle of the holidays. Happy smokes!

I ordered a pipe and got the Fireside Fable ! It’s so good , so good I ordered another pipe to get another tin , I wish I could afford to get the other blends but the Fireside Fable should be a permanent blend in my opinion!
I agree! I love Fireside Fable. I wish that I didn’t have to buy a new pipe to get a tin. It is the perfect winter English blend in my opinion.
Scarlet Cache caught me. It like this year's Carolina Red's tipsy cousin. Must horde more!
Perfect for cozy moments with family and friends, well, these blends add a festive touch to any celebration.
Thanks Rose for the read. Very good. 😁
I saw some of my previous favorite holiday blends had vanished so when summer turned to fall I went a searching and loaded on on those. This group also seems good & will look forward to them.
Kringle's Delight is awesome as well. I am currently trying to find where I can get/buy/horde more
Kringle's Delight有幸拥有一罐,自己又加工一番,超喜欢的味道,导致不舍得经常品尝她......
Well June is about gone and I have totally ruined the rest of the year as I am now completley out of my Kringle's Delight. I knew the blend was very limited so I rationed it as it is by far my favorite blend. Not sure what made it such a special blend but it was very smooth and creamy and had a really nice taste without an aftertaste. Guess I should have purchased another Peterson pipe with the special.
will these be back this Christmas?
