Mystery Cigar Review: April 2020

Welcome to the very first episode of the Mystery Cigar Review! If any of you have watched our Mystery Tobacco Reviews in the past, the idea behind this series should be pretty familiar. Each month, one of our cigar gurus will select one stick for our panel to review in a blind taste-test. All packaging and bands are removed, so the guys have to trust their eyes, nose, and palates to try and guess which cigar they're smoking. For this first installment, Tim Vanderpool kicked things off as our Cigar Inquisitor, leaving Tyler, Truett, and Shane to their own devices in determining this month's Mystery Cigar. Did they guess it right? Or did Tim have them second guessing the sticks in their humidor? Watch the full video to find out.

What did you think of the review? Did you guess it right? Don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments below.

*A quick note for those watching at home: We filmed this episode several weeks ago, before it was encouraged to practice social distancing. We're still currently working on a way to safely bring you next month's episode without a hitch. Thanks for your patience.

What is The Mystery Cigar Review?

For those of you unfamiliar with this little game, each month one member of our team selects a cigar for us to review in a blind taste-test. Then we gather around the camera, scratch our heads, and smoke, all while attempting to guess the mysterious cigar's wrapper, filler, origins, and name. There's only one rule: There are no rules.

    • I guessed Oliva Conneticut as well. I like it as an everyday mild to medium smoke. Good stick.
